gear down reduce NP

Hi, I have a little problem, then I say "gear down reduce NP" the FO dose every thing but press the Reduce NP button. I'm i doing something wrong or did I miss read somthing?

Are you speaking the command very clearly and deliberately, and does it confirm the exact phrase in the green text bar with DSP turned on?

It will work... just ensure your throttle is not in the idle position or reduce np wont engage (just like the real plane.)

Yes, the green bar shows up and says "gear down reduce NP" and I think the power levers were at 17-20 NP.
