April 5, 201412 yr Just purchased Carenado's Phenom 100. I'm getting squarish looking landing and strobe lights with DX10 on. The problem disappears when switching to DX9. Any help with this would be appreciated. Also just noticed I'm getting a square halo effect with Carenado's Cirrus's landing lights. -- tazz

April 5, 201412 yr Author Thanks for the help Steve ... it looks like Carenado forgot to include fx_CARldn1900D.bmp and fx_strobecar1900D.bmp. I searched for these files on my computer and can't find them. -- tazz
April 8, 201412 yr Same here, only square looking lights for now. Any idea how to get hold on those two files WITHOUT buying Carenado's B1900D? EDIT: I found myself an easy solution. 1. navigate to your Microsoft Flight Simulator X/effects folder 2. look for the two effects files named "fx_CARldnEMB500" and "fx_strobecarEMB500" 3. open these files with your editor 4. use the "replace" function and replace "fx_CARldnB1900D.bmp" with "fx_CARldnEMB500.bmp" in the fx_CARldnEMB500 effects file and similarly, replace all "fx_strobecarB1900D.bmp" entries with "fx_strobecarEMB500.bmp" in the other effects file Done! No square looking strobes anymore. This seems to be a minor bug, as the correct .bmp files were installed with the phenom, someone at Carenado simply forgot to change the name of the .bmp in the effects files. April 9, 201412 yr Author AnkH ... Thanks! Will give this a try tonight. I contacted Carenado support twice and their only suggestion to me was to reinstall which made no difference obviously. -- tazz
