April 22, 201412 yr Hi, I know that there have been several topics on the installation of the Majestic Q400 into Prepar3d v2.2 but even though I checked (hopefully) all of them, and can still not get it to work in P3D2. I can install the Majestic into Prepar3d and can load the aircraft for a flight. But right after startup the plane starts to bounce and wouldn't settle down. The artificial horizon is turned sideways and when I try to move the yoke nothing happens. I have installed 1.008 and all the hotfixes up to 1.0083. If anyone has a clue what could be wrong, I would highly appreciate any tips. Thanks in advance! [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE
April 22, 201412 yr Author UPDATE: Solved it myself. Had to install the Q400 by pointing the installer directly to the Prepar3d folder instead of through the migration tool. Now it works... [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE
April 23, 201412 yr Yes, installed it too last night :-) Works like a charm - I was really missing it ! April 23, 201412 yr Yes, installed it too last night :-) Works like a charm - I was really missing it ! No stuttering screen when viewing the outside model? André
April 23, 201412 yr No stuttering screen when viewing the outside model? Yes, on some occasions, but since I seldom use external views... no big deal for me :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
April 23, 201412 yr This is nice to know .... So the internal view (vc) is completely stutter-free? I had the impression that in P3D2 the VC was also a bit irregular ... If it is ok, I'm going to buy it right now!
April 23, 201412 yr Further to my last post, I really should point out that when I use the AffinityMask=15 instead of 14 in Prepar3d.cfg, the external stuttering is practically inexistent!!! I have an i5 2500 ( no HT ), 4 cores. Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
April 24, 201412 yr Author The external "spot" view stutters like hell, even though I use AffinityMask=85 (HT on). But that's not a problem at all because if you use "locked spot" instead you do not have any stutters. VC and other views also work 100%. Did a couple of flights and I can't detect any problems with the Dash 8 in P3D2 yet... Even FS2Crew for the Dash works like a charm in P3D2...
