A Public Apology To Henning From Aeroworx

Featured Replies

About a week ago I posted a rather rude message on Aeroworx's forum, taking Henning and his team to task for still not having released a patch for the (wonderful) King Air. The tone I used was completely uncalled for, and I sincerely apologize for letting my anger and frustration get the better off me. I've had numerous ctd's using Henning's plane -not sure what combination of hard/software produces those, but Henning was gracious enough (despite my rudeness) to send me a file that hopefully will fix the issue. This is, of course, customer service at its best, going well beyond what one can reasonably expect. Again, thanks to Henning and apologies. However, I've noticed an interesting paradox, if you will. I, like many other people, have spent a substantial amouont of money buying addons, be it aircraft or scenery. Increasingly, I am getting just a tad bit frustrated at the rising number of addon producers who seem to care little about supporting their product. Emails bounce back or aren't answered, the customer is blamed for all the problems, etc. Or, companies dissapear off of the earth altogether. Of course, that anger is then directed against payware designers who DO stick around and fully support, patch, and update their products. Henning is an example of such support. Ricardo

Yours is a noble gesture.Im sure things will be just fine :)We all get frustrated in the heat of the moment...happens to everyone!

I disagree. I think it would have been better just not to have said say nasty things in the first place. Posting an apology like this seems so self-important. I mean, after all, who really cares about this guys opinion?

On the other hand, for all those that read the original post on the Aeroworx forum (maybe including potential customers), they can now feel assured that the service provided is worth noting? All to often people are quick to complain (in the wrong manner) and then simply fade away. I guess it's easier that way, well easier that publically admiting to being a bit of a pratt in the first place.http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg

Cheers

Please go back into your glass house now. The man posted some stuff, as some of us have done, in the heat of the moment. His heated situation was cleared up and now he is stepping up to apologize. It is far easier blasting away then to come back and clear the air. The world is not a perfect place and none are perfect. Yes, people do care about opinions, like possible future owners of a product. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Ricardo, Thanks, much appreciated (although you really didn't have to)... and no worries mate, lets move on.Kind regards,Henning| P4 2.0 GIG | Epox 4G4A Motherboard | 1 GIG RAM | Gainward GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB | 120 GIG WD JB | 80 GIG WD JB | SB Audigy 2 ZS |"You know that you are low and slow when you get a bird strike from behind..."

So, in your mind, the noble thing is to make a mistake and NOT apologize? As for the mistake itself, let him without sin, cast the first stone...sir.Regards,Jim

I totally agree, so many people say terrible things on the forums and let them lay without resolving. It takes a big person to admit they were wrong, a bigger one to admit it openly.I've read of so many payware authors getting run through the coals and very few apologies.

Opps I thought you said Aerowinx!

LOL, I'm with you Jim.It is amazing how much AVSIM reflects overall society now. The breadth of members makes this a real reflection of today's international society.Characters like Rudi exist everywhere, I suppose. But, still, it IS amazing that someone would take pot shots at a guy who publicly apologized after recoginizing that he was off base. Now, if the world was full of Rudis . . .Wilson

Aeroworx supports their products extremely well. Understand your frustration with some others...Lago especially. However Henning himself does a marvelous job.Eric
