February 13, 200521 yr >Hmmm . . . doesn't seem too much better than what we already>have with FSG mesh, American Data, and USG Landclass. >NoelHi Noel, I think the accurate coastlines are a huge bonus, especially in British Columbia where the default coastlines are so far off. The question is: will they be of the same high quality as Misty Fjords, for example? Can't say that the poor screenshots have me sold on the night experience, but it sounds great.Jon My blog

February 14, 200521 yr The night affect does look great. One thing though that jumps out on their screenshots is that this exposes the incorrect bridge placements of Microsoft. The bridges no longer connect the land masses correctly in their screenshots. I am assuming that other default object placements by Microsoft, such as coastal cities, will be incorrect.I know that it may prove too big a task to move the defaut objects to their correct locations. If they are left alone though, it will be one of those things where I would need to decide between accurate coastlines but the scenery looking odd, or inaccurate coastlines but the bridges/cities are placed correctly by Microsoft in relation to the inaccurate coastlines. This is kind of the same issue when their first version of USA Roads produced accurate roads, but the roads ran over water, which ruined for me the whole immersion affect. But they responded right away with a switch to not show the roads that ran over the water. I am wondering how they will handle this situation in this product. I posted the question in their forums. I am sure that they have already thought about this.Scott
February 14, 200521 yr Wow they respond fast on their forums! Their exact response to my question:"Something will be done Scott, especially in the USA. In Canada, I really have not seen too many problems. A few bridges off a bit maybe."I just think that any product associated with Flight One always means quality and great customer service. This should be an excellent product.Scott
February 14, 200521 yr HiLooks cool - especially having all the coastlines & night lighting effects. However, the only small problem I have with all 'roads/data' addons is that the small (residential) roads look too distinct for my taste. Like I would prefer a residential road to be partly covered by trees so not distinct as a definite line but rather patches of road visible under the underlying landclass (or something like that?!).Has anyone already done this with the roads bmp's? That would be great (at least for me :))??
February 15, 200521 yr Whilst very impressive, the elevation for the traffic headlights/taillights is too high; these 'vehicles' appear to be merely points of light at over an entire road-width above the surface of the road! At low altitude this is going to look most 'odd'...!!
February 15, 200521 yr Author >At low altitude this is going to>look most 'odd'...!!I have seen that. It does look a bit odd. Not sure it is my cup of tea.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
