I'm a bit confused. Not sure where I got it but on one of the flight sim sites, there's a free version of USA roads. That link you gave to the Scenery Solutions website has USA Roads for sale at $29.95. Is the base software freeware or not? It certainly appeared to be when I downloaded it. Is the commercial version different and upgraded? I've noticed some of my roads in the package I got extend out into lakes. If paying the low fee removes that it certainly would be worth the price. Thanks,Art Martin

Wow, the night lighting looks fantastic! It's about time somebody did this.

I agree..with this package,,,FS10 better be leaps and bounds ahead of FS9 because this makes FS9 look like a whole new sim.

where, when, and how do I buy it? This will finally get me to upgrade. It's the kicker that I needed. And, btw, will someone point them out to MS so that they'll buy them out or at least learn something from it? Too much. Wow, we've come a long long way...billg

That really is something. It kills me though that all these great add ons are coming out and there might be a new sim. I am not sure when but I dread the upgrade wait. Will it never end? :-bang LOL.

Andrew said it all. It's on all our minds, hehe. But hey, what can you do? If you get 4 or 5 mths of fun out of it for that price, why not? I've paid more than that for 4 or 5 mins of fun, and the only reason I knew it was fun was because she said that. billg

Hmmm . . . doesn't seem too much better than what we already have with FSG mesh, American Data, and USG Landclass. I think the real upgrade comes with FS10 and beyond: client-server with realtime photoreal (look at Keyhole's San Diego downtown: resolution is to 3". You not only can see cars, you can tell what make, model and year! Keyhole is only 2D though, but you can imagine combining that with a 3d generation tool (autogen) that is synced to the photoreal 2D aereal photo like Keyhole displays. The folks making Ult Terrain should go to FS-GS and learn how to have their screen shots truly show some clarity. Those screen shots are awful from a clarity point of view!Anyway, doesn't seem like much over what is already available. Be nice for those who haven't upgraded these areas already.Noel

Agree with Noelnot much to show on those screenshots - than we already see or have installed ! at (very likely) 1/4 of their prices.kat :(

If you've got a scenery that adds accurate coasts for oceans, rivers, lakes, (every major body of water) as well as streams, roads, rails, landclass, and custom polygons for parks, cemetaries, etc, for all of Canada and Alaska (or the rest of the US for that matter), please post a link. The screen shots are not the best, but the product is quite unique - please don't misinform anyone regarding what is being offered here.Best,sg

In response to free "USA Roads", there is no free USA Roads. It would be something freeware with a similar name. The technology and datasets are different.About screen-caps. Go to Allens forum to see more. We all will be posting more there, and there are some shots starting to appear there now.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=19

Those night lighting shots look amazing! Any ETA on the mainland USA one and will there be a discount for current USA Roads owners?

This feature will add actual points of light, to simulate street lights, automobiles, and rural farms. Previously, this functionality has only been seen in many professional flight simulators.Among other things...I've never seen anything like this, just because of this I'm sold. Besides they are covering almost all Canada. It looks very promising...nothing like it around.I would say there's people fearing some good and high quality competition. Don't be afraid, competition is good, makes us (the customers) enjoy better products.

Yup, the night lighting is what's selling me on this too - it looks phenomenal in the shot Steve posted to the Flight1 forums - very very realistic.
