  1. OK. For us it is easier as we came from the established C++ background. Note our code in the MAX is not legacy. It was a ground-up effort.
  2. I think you misread the original post over at Facebook. First, It specifically refers to the use of C++, which I still believe has benefits (it allows quicker time to market, full Win32 API and disk access, simpler programming and debugging). Your re-write of what was posted is not what was said. It was never said that high levels could not be achieved in MSFS now. In fact, we are programming almost exclusively for MSFS. Plus the post says "can barely be beat"... which means there may be some equals (or technically there could be something better). Saying PMDG (or anyone) for that matter could not obtain the same level in MSFS is not what was said. Asobo is working to make system access more attainable. All we are saying is that we believe that the MAX for P3Dv5 is a top product for system accuracy. Although I am not sure what your experience is with the iFly MAX is, but if you have an issue do post over at iFly so they can take a look at it.
  3. I know that when they can use default MSFS they will do that (why not?), but there are a slew of functions that must exist outside of MSFS to improve accuracy (short list... fuel, pneumatics, engines, etc.). There is likely no other way. A 737 MAX electrical bus is not a default MSFS feature.
  4. With all the talk here and at Facebook regarding the P3Dv5 post, we thought we would leak a picture that shows the fidelity iFly is shooting for in regards to the MAX for MSFS. This is early development from a number of months ago (the product has evolved a lot since then). You can read a little more over at the iFly forum... https://ifly.flight1.net/forums/topic21200_post142634.html.
  5. New content is in the works! We have been improving the development tools over the last couple weeks. Yes, that was the initial effort for the product when development started for P3D. In this case, you can set trigger points at not just the waypoint, but at steps before the waypoint. It is not super advanced... like "trigger x miles from y, after speed reduced below z". But for staged ATC it could work. It is not dynamic like FSHud of course. It would be more if you wanted to introduce someone to a choreographed/linear situation.
  6. Flight1 does not have any plans to sell premium content. That would kind of be against the whole idea of the cloud and promoting folks to share their creations. In regards to quality control, categories, ratings... This is not yet implemented (except categories but we have not activated the filter mechanism yet until there is more content for it to be effective). There could be more fields added to the shared content... upload date, author name, and ratings (we have that technology in our cloud). Again, this would happen more when there is more content. Now we are focused on the authoring system, the adventure engine, cloud engine, etc). This would also come with an expanded front end. Regarding quality control... that is something we will have to monitor because the system is so new... so now we are monitoring uploaded content... and make suggestions to the author, and also see if there are any changes needed to make authoring better (we think it is pretty good now). So having admins approve/hide/tweak content is work in progress but obviously must be implemented to some degree. We mention some of this in the manual.
  7. The adventures once shared are in the Flight Adventures Cloud in the utility. They are not separate adventures loaded into MSFS missions. AnyoneFly has its own adventure system. You select them from the list and fly them directly (including shared flights). More content will come as more learn the adventure system. Several adventures by users have already been uploaded.
  8. Hi Jure, It does not have to be perfect! I replied to your post over at SimForums with some tips. Even without that the adventure is fine! It seemed to fit in quite nicely. It was the main music used in development of the adventure system.
  9. I refreshed the current version with slightly different login logic. No need to re-download it and the version number was not even changed. Lets see what happens on any new purchases.
  10. Because the cloud uses the same account login, it is shared, so AnyoneFly would automatically work if logged in via the Agent. I am researching the highlighted box.
  11. Dominique, adventures are double-layered... or double layered + 0.5. You have the audio adventures. If something does not strike your fancy, go into Settings and select "Mute Spoken Audio In Adventures". Next, setup the TTS engine, and you will hear the adventure in any text to speech audio you setup. Now, the 0.5 part is that you can turn off TTS and open the Geo window and fly with that only and you will get text prompts in the window, plus get the benefit of the pseudo flight director type indicator, get a few extra graphics (in Majestic Matterhorn), and still get all the information. Keep the Geo Window at the bottom left is what I recommend. So even in the 0.5 part you get something extra. AnyoneFly has a lot of settings... and once dialed in you can experiment around with how you want to fly that day.
  12. Maybe it is an ergonomic thing throwing some off. It could be changed. In this picture, the box is simply a label, and does not activate. You press the Account Login button to open the next dialog to login. If this is what happened, maybe that gray box should say "Click Account Login below" instead of being blank. Your user name will show there if logged in..
  13. Hi, It is a Flight1 developed product... actually mostly me. Jeff Hathcoat a local actor I know here in Atlanta provided all of the voice data. Parts of the product go back to the late 1990's (the weather parts) which was a Flight1 mainstay. Of course that code has been updated. The rest of it was created during much of the pandemic... maybe a creative outlet of sorts. When I was using MSFS, I wanted something to open up the world because although MSFS was quite an amazing visual, it was still not a complete world in some ways, if that makes sense. And I enjoy geography, history, and wondering what is out there. Thus the adventure and map system was created, with all the data to go with it. It was also a way to help folks around the world participate with the pilot in a unique way, because that is what I was seeking as a user too! And this needed to be done without any coding required of the user! There really is no limit to the type of adventure once can create. An author can mix history, geography, humor, music, an interesting personal event, observation, or story, add graphics (see the Sunset - Cape Flattery step as an example in the World Sunrises and Sunsets "Flyograpy" type adventure). Points of interest can be anything too, not what is in the databases. Simply add any location the user wants. Making education fun was also part of it, because I do not think I enjoyed history too much in school. Now it is more interesting🙂 and makes me want to fly. The program while not trying to be complex, is almost like a new "language" because there are so many elements, with many overlapping. Once you grasp it, it should come automatically. The program itself is quite different and I think some are scratching their head in a way. Maybe it is best said that AnyoneFly allows you to get your fingernails dirty again in a simulator and helps share the experience. That is a brief history of AnyoneFly.
  14. That is odd. Close AnyoneFly... open the Agent and make sure you use the option to stay logged in. When you open AnyoneFly, you should not be asked to login. It is all the same account. Maybe you are also already logged in. In the login area in AnyneFly, see if your user name is in the box above the buttons.
  15. This is sorely needed! Some of the most prolific product genres accessed exactly these two features. As Damian said, 🤞!
  16. This is covered in the manual, but a few quick tips on the audio based adventures... Both have attached weather themes so export those before you start the simulator so they will be visible in the MSFS weather list. Discover Appalachia goes from one airport to another... Majestic Matterhorn is out and back, but requires careful management of altitude and is rated challenging, although many areas are easy to fly. It is quite scenic! Coastal Canyon is a good adventure to fly with text to speech, the Wikipedia data option selected, and Speak as you Fly enabled in Settings. This adventure was created by one of the testers! Fly with the Geo Window hidden also.
  17. It will always guide you to the intended waypoint and altitude... and you should not miss it. There is a setting to auto-advance to the next waypoint (but that was rarely needed in testing). So you really could not get lost. The included adventures have different skill levels. For example, the Discover Appalachia adventure is more for general touring and history. Majestic Matterhorn has some altitudes you must pay attention to, but if you are low, you can make adjustments (fly in an S pattern to gain more time). However, in the default steam Cessna, you can clear everything without needing to take corrective action... but the margin is slimmer :-). The directions you are hearing are 100% dynamic so it can fly you to any altitude and any heading, and turn you back on course. The engine allows you to put your own voice in the simulator/adventure. About 2 hours for all the recordings for the vocabulary, and however long your adventure dialog is. Those tools are included to record and format the recorded audio.
  18. Flight1’s AnyoneFly product is now entering phase-2 testing and we can now release more information to the public. AnyoneFly is a unique application that allows you to discover the world through MSFS. For example, you can view information of the world around you, fly and create unique adventures, create filters that, for example, would allow you to setup landings at all the seaplane bases in Alaska, and so much more. Because there are many features in this product we thought it would be best to release the manual (the link is below and do note that features are subject to change). Because AnyoneFly is highly content driven, with different types of content that can be shared among users, we need a second batch of beta testers for specifically the following (any or all): Test the included content, such as the adventures, flight system, and data filters. Upload content in order to allow us to test the cloud system (content does not need to be elaborate). Test the audio system in different scenarios, such as adjusting volume, assigning to different sound devices. Try the Audio Builder to create recordings. Test the keyboard and joystick assignments. And of course on top of the above report and bugs found. AnyoneFly is primarily geared to VFR flying which is suitable for experiencing geography, history, and world discoveries. AnyoneFly Manual download: Please click here for the user manual (4MB) If you are interested in being in this second test group, please see the forum link below. We will likely be limiting this test group to about 20 new testers. https://www.simforums.com/forums/topic65347_post421120.html You can also post here if you have any general questions.
  19. It is in late beta and we hope for 2022 for sure. It is being looked at, but no promises. It depends on performance and other factors.
  20. This is next-generation development for them, not that their latest is far behind... but they decided to modernize many aspects for P3D. No main time frame. MSFS is on the horizon, but the key at this time is P3D. Remember, P3D allows for unlimited pure C++ and many advanced types of API access (including Windows). This allows for unfettered access to any type of development. As MSFS improves, as it has been, porting 1 to 1 compared to P3D may be attainable. Imagine if Asobo allowed for C++ gauges? But for those truly wanting the rawest experience possible in aircraft systems, we believe P3D allows for that better than any other simulator (excluding X-Plane which we have not developed for). As a side note I am not trying to say bad things about MSFS as we are involved in MSFS development now in several areas.

  22. Yes, this is why it is not a port of the iFly 737NG Advanced Series. It is all new from the ground up, which allows it to look as it does in the pictures. It is standalone and not connected to the earlier development.
  23. iFly has spent considerable time specifically on P3D v5 features (many of which are not part of P3D v4). My view is that P3Dv5 is great, and MSFS has evolved to be great also, and they can serve different, if at times overlapping purposes. We posted another gallery at http://ifly.flight1.net/forums/ifly-737max-new-pictures-2_topic20534.html And a first-look video at YouTube... https://youtu.be/TubnqB8MV1M
