  1. We posted the first video demo! Check it out below. This video shows the creation of a flight plan, up through reaching cruise altitude. Note that there are several ways to create a flight plan, including using the /F option to automatically use the in-app planner using real-word navdata. The size of the display can also be customized based on your needs.
  2. There are many elements in MSFS that are not the same, compared to P3D (SDK features, SimConnect, etc). P3D will be released first as that will have the core of the main systems. MSFS may have a reduced feature set when it is released if the same API's are no longer available. More will be posted on the FSHud site.
  3. Flight1 is associated with Ultimate Traffic Live as we published it, but the team on FSHud is completely different than the Ultimate Traffic developers. It is two very different development groups.
  4. An unsuspecting buyer would not be informed... We put a notice up at https://www.flight1.com/products.asp?vid=flt1sf&pid=f1utlive... We also put up a public announcement in the Ultimate Traffic forums also, that is still there.
  5. We reached out, but unfortunately we were not able to get the code.
  6. Hi, The developer of FSHud has no affiliation with Ultimate Traffic or the developer of it. I do not want to sidetrack this thread... and it was unfortunate the developer could not continue with Ultimate Traffic. This hit Flight1 much harder than most may have imagined.... is also why UTLive 2 was released for free. The developer of FSHud and those helping during the beta phase are putting a huge effort into this product... I just want to clear up any ambiguity that may exist!
  7. These type of things are planed in the next releases, after the initial version is out... this includes VFR flights which we will highlight more in a future post. VFR flights are different in different sectors of the world and what one my consider a VFR flight may not be available in all countries. But you can request taxi for "North/South/East/West" departure - then you taxi, takeoff and fly whenever you want. For mode switching... VFR to IFR and vise versa can be done during flight - without a flight plan.
  8. FSHud includes complete utilization of SID/STAR data including altitude limitations that can be integrated with Navigraph NavData. For runways in operation, FSHud decides which runway to use for takeoffs and landings according to weather conditions, traffic load, and type of instrumental approach… however users have the ability to override those settings. During departure/approach users can select any runway, SID/STAR/Transition and Approach as long as the aircraft capabilities allow for it. When AI traffic is injected to perform a SID/STAR, altitude restrictions are included and AI aircraft will fly according those restrictions. However, ATC instructions such as "Reduce speed..." or custom vectoring will not be in the first version. Missed approach and go-around procedures will be also not be in the first release. We are working on making those features as a top priority for the next release. We are currently focused on testing the core engine, then building from that.
  9. FSHud completely manages conversations and channel switching accordingly - it's like a co-pilot that completely manages ATC (with pilot interaction of course). The pilot's role in this case is to confirm, request, or change critical steps - it is also not necessary that the application window would be opened during all time of flight (although through key or joystick button mappings you should be able to put FSHud in a semi-minimized state and use the mapped shortcuts. The initial release will support only IFR flights.
  10. To try to answer multiple inquiries... P3D v4? FSHud would also be valid for P3Dv4 for those still using it. Is there any ATIS support via the FSHUD interface? If AI traffic or ATC is dependent on weather conditions - FSHud has complete integration of ATIS during all stages of flight… it is not just broadcasting weather and other details, but also a complete simulation of information that is relayed during clearance. For example, at some airports FSHud broadcasts ATIS with information "F" Foxtrot. Then during departure clearance you would hear "...with information Foxtrot.." - FSHud provides the complete simulation of this behavior. However, at this time it doesn't have the capability to take weather forecasts and plan flights according to all weather data taken from the simulator. FSHud doesn't have communication with 3rd party software such as ActiveSky… it simply pulls from the simulator the weather that ActiveSky injected. In future releases this feature is planned, where traffic flows will be set according to real weather forecasts prior to your flight. Does it support intersection takeoffs? Intersection takeoffs are not in initial release. Does it support enroute step climbs and descents? FSHud has complete support for the vertical profile of both the user and AI traffic aircraft. It starts from the flight planning stage (if you take a look at the screenshot in the gallery you will see a scrollable chart with the vertical profile) where altitude can be adjusted and changed at every waypoint (as long as the vertical profile allows it). Altitude changes can be requested at any stage while enroute. About regional voices... The next releases (not the initial one) will contain additional voices based on region, with German, French, Italian and Spanish accents planned. Later, more regions such as Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, and Turkish accents can be released.
  11. The first release will include 5 voice packages, but it will be expanded in future. Sound data is downloaded "on-demand" in small parts during usage of the application to prevent waiting and downloading large files. The technology used generates quite realistic voices. The initial release will indeed be for P3Dv5. MSFS is of course is in the design scheme, and hopefully will not be too far away (as long as some elements of MSFS SimConnect can ultimately be applied that are now available in P3D). This could also translate to the MSFS version not having the exact same feature specs as P3D (if some elements of SimConnect are not available). MSFS is still evolving however!
  12. Replying to a couple inquiries here... FSHud manages ATC conversations like a “co-pilot”. Using the menu options, users have the ability to change or confirm different stages of flight such as "Ready for takeoff", "Ready for descent" request, change cruise altitude, request direct to, and more. Regarding shortcut keys - there will be the ability to select those options using keyboard or joystick shortcut keys. This way multiple technologies can interface with FSHud, thus enhancing its scope. Regarding AIG or similar add-on traffic packages: As long as the traffic data is part of BGL file - FSHud extracts those flight schedules, generates flight plans (because this data is missing) according to installed navdata packages (Navigraph integration is available) and injects this traffic into the simulator. FSHud tries to stay in sync with the traffic schedules provided by BGL file. Time delays may be applied because of an unavailable timeslot, or a generated flight plan block time that is much longer than the schedules written in BGL file. FSHud has full and complete control over each AI aircraft on each flight stage (taxi/takeoff/landing/airborne) by injecting specific coordinates, airspeed, and altitude, into that AI aircraft.
  13. From my understanding of the software there will be a mapping system of some kind. You would obviously need the interface at some point... such as to generate the flight and other tasks required for setting up the flight. Running it on a separate PC has not been tried yet as testing is all been on local PC's. I am not the ATC expert in the company however (others can fly circles around me), so some questions would best be answered by other staff🙂. What is PF3 BTW? I have not heard of that.
  14. I know this topic is a number of months old... For those following this thread, we have more info on FSHud - Air Traffic Control... It has been in testing and the results are quite excellent. You can read more over at https://www.simforums.com/forums/topic64597_post415707.html The team will try to answer questions in that thread, and post more images there and in the gallery during the testing process.
  15. See my post here... Note the slider settings I posted. I find default P3D way over saturated in colors and bright. But also some settings do make a difference. See these 3 pictures... The last one I believe is all defaults, with EA and HDR turned off... The last picture has everything over-saturated and bright (settings were default and/or off). With P3Dv5, when the colors are not right, it can even look cartoonish. However, adjusted with HDR and slider settings, it can be near spot on to the real world, including the sky.
  16. Hi Frank, It is not AS. It is simply me setting up cloud and visibility layers with the default P3Dv5 installation. The texture sliders are pretty much to the max on my 1920 by 1080 monitor.
  17. I believe development on the 747 is currently on hold. iFly is very busy in multiple markets (not just the home simulator market) and everything must be prioritized. With the 737MAX in development, and with work on the additional model pack for the current release (along with base-pack tweaks for P3Dv5.3), they had to shelve development on the 747.
  18. I use several computers and the pictures I took were on a 7 year old i7-4790K with a GTX 1080! The PC uses 16GB memory and 2 Samsung SSD drives. The motherboard is an Asus Z97. Except during a few moments at dense airports performance is very satisfactory and loading reasonably quick.
  19. Hi Rafal, All the images are in the thread. No need to go anywhere else. It is working in 5.3 quite nicely but as I mentioned above a few new things are coming for 5.3 in the next update.
  20. Yes it is the new 737NG from iFly.... It is one of my all-time favorite aircraft! (hint: we are the publisher😀). Some nice tweaks are coming to P3D 5.3 also.
  21. I have found with P3D 5.2 and especially 5.3 you can have very nice overcast and some amazing cloud visuals. This is not simply taking off and flying. You need to have a little understanding of how weather is setup which includes cloud and visibility layers properly placed. Also, and this is very important... depending on your system, colors may be very over-saturated... too bright, too much color, and not matching the real world. This happens with the default Lighting settings on my Nvidia based system. There are also other effects that need to be enabled. These have the EA Clouds ENABLED. Some of the pics below are at full overcast. The one with the KLM plane is using specially placed visibility layers. Here is a link to the full gallery... https://postimg.cc/gallery/Y4w862p
  22. You have to do a full clean install. It happened to me also. They changed the format of a lot of things to use PBR and more. Installing just parts, such as the client, will cause that.
  23. You can get this beta tool... it will download liveries from the library and help place things in the right folder... https://files.100megabyte.com/ifly/GetLiveries1.0.0.0.zip Just unzip it anywhere on your system. If there are any bugs just post in the iFly forum.
  24. Here are a few more pics of Steve Drabek's WestJet repaint (it was just uploaded)... The full gallery of this aircraft is at http://galleries.flight1.net/?gallery=737ng-repaint-2
  25. The core team is still there, but it has been expanded with other participants. It is more global now.
