Because VATSIM weather is behind real world weather.

I know, but surely whatever is displayed on the WX page on FSINN should also be displayed in ASN 

Check at the bottom left corner of the ActiveSky Next window.

 

I find mine sometimes reverts to "offline mode" if it ever looses connection to the server (due to internet interruptions and the like) and never seems to 'come back' to "Live realtime mode" without being prompted to. This will leave the weather "Stuck" at the time when the offline mode started (can be hours/days in the past)

 

If this is the case, press the top left hand button "WX Configuration" then click "Weather Mode".

 

I typically use just the straight real time weather mode. The only time it will be significantly different to VATSIM is when VATSIM's weather lags behind due to server issues.
