June 2, 201412 yr tides, Tides in a flight sim? Ok I suppose if all you fly are sea planes or amphibians. Otherwise totally irrelevant. So is all the 'junk' non-airside at major airports ... come on who of you really reads all the road and parking signs 'thoughtfully' provided by developers in the interests of accuracy. It all eats into performance. I contend we have lost our way. We need to re-adjust our priorities and let the developers know, of course. Lets get back to the fundamentals ... pilot responsibilities as accurately as possible.
June 2, 201412 yr Tides in a flight sim? Ok I suppose if all you fly are sea planes or amphibians. Otherwise totally irrelevant. Yet P3D includes Bathymetry . . . which makes the inclusion of tides totally relevant. You have to keep in mind that Prepar3D is not just a flightsim, according the official website: it "is a visual simulation platform that allows users to create training scenarios across aviation, maritime and ground domains. Users can train anywhere in the virtual world, from underwater to sub orbital space." Since Bathymetry can easily be disabled, I don't see why tides couldn't also be disable. ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
