Still got stutters after tuning FSX - help please

Featured Replies

I have an i7/960 running @ 3.2, with 12 gig DDR3 RAM.  I am running NVidia drivers 335.23.

I recently installed an o/c GeForce 750Ti with 2 gig RAM, & have since been fine tuning FSX. I have followed the advice in Word Not Allowed's guide, and have taken on board some of Kabote's suggestions; I have set the affinity mask according to the recommended settings from the Gatwick FS Club's on-line tool.  I now have a system that runs smoothly, with good FPS (locked at 30), and very little shimmering.

However, I am getting stutters of anything from 1 to 5 seconds duration, and they appear to be random - they will happen even with the aircraft sitting on the ramp, engine off.  The top part of my FSX config file is below, together with a screenshot of NVidia Inspector.

If someone could point out to me where I have gone wrong, then it would be very much appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Bernie

You seem to have triplicate entries for T_B_M. also your rig may not be up to running PoolSize=0.

as your running dx10 make sure you have set it up with Paul J guide.

some times long stutters can be caused by background processes.

ps just looked at your NI settings you need to set it up for DX10,(AA doesn't work in NI) again see paul's guide and steves dx10 fixer instructions.

Thanks for that, will go back & re-read the Guides!

  • 2 weeks later...

I would say that a 750ti card is a bit weak if running SGSS 4x and DX10, even with an older i7 960 cpu. Especially in clouded weather if using HD REX clouds or similar.
