Featured Replies

Can someone explain how to permanently set FSX process priority to high using the Target Line method in Windows 7?

I'm trying to avoid using that method.

It won't make any difference in performance.

make a shortcut to fsx.exe and replace the target line with:

%comspec% /c "start /high fsx.exe"

Been there, done that, my experience was the same, no noticeable improvements.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

I agree. Don't bother. No difference at all.   -   Doug

The OP asked how it's done.

But unfortunately changing the priority only effects how other programs run and so cannot improve the performance of the sim.
