I don't understand why this topic  moved and the other thread from a few months ago ("503 Service Unavailable") was left in the Letters to the Editorial Staff of AVSIM forum.

:sorry: I get a lot of complaints when I move something but the 503 error complaints did not belong in the Letters to the Editor Forum IMHO.  If any other forum other than the Hangar Chat (where any topic can go), I would say Help using the AVSIM Forums would have been a better choice than Letters to the Editor. Apologize for any inconveniences.

What is going on with the Avsim connection? Every morning without fail ,between 8-10am, repeated 503 errors, no connection. Now at 5pm UK time, again, same 503 errors. Not much fun.

I share your pain but occasionally Tom has to reboot the system after changes/upgrades are made. It's usually not a very long down time. When I see it, after a few minutes, I'll hit the F5 key and the site is back up and working and I can respond to your complaints... LOL

We just did an update and that created the 503. It was announced before it was initiated. It only lasted a couple of minutes Rick.

Aha, the answer. Thanks Tom and Jim. I was beginning to scratch my head wondering what is going on at 5pm as I've got quite used to the 8am-10am( UK) 503 errors. Now I know.
