Featured Replies

As the title says trying to find my .cfg file for prepa3d?

Thought it was under mydocuments folder on the C: drive but cant find it!(my prepar3d is installed to E drive).

Always under

C:\Users\(your profile name)\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2.

Kind regards, Michael

Michael thanks that what I thought - but under administrator(profile name) I don't see an appdata folder?(do I need to unhide it?)

Yes, that's a "hidden" folder by default. I always keep these folders visible.

Kind Regards, Michael

thanks that explains it then!

but how exactly can you make it visible?(I am using windows 7)

Hi,

Menu entry Extras, Folder Options, Views, Scroll down until Show hidden Files and Folders and select the proper radio button.

(might slightly deviate, I am using a German language Windows).

Kind regards, Michael

To add to what Michael offered, here's the English system equivalent:

Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Folder Options, Show Hidden files and folders, View (tab), Files and folders, Hidden files and folders, Don't show hidden . . . OR   Show hidden . . .

Try Control Panel/Folder options/ View

as the above poster has suggested if your using w7   go to control panel/folder option/ than click the view tab on top   and  the hidden option will be  about  1/4  of the way down

got it thanks!

Under prepar3dv2 I seem to have x3 different .cfg files

prepar3d.cfg

prepar3d.cfg.txt

fsx.cfg

I guess I add the affinity mask tweak to the top one prepar3d.cfg not the txt version?
