FS Global Ultimate - Europe, Africa

Featured Replies

No, DVD only.

It isnt small over 25 gig or more

I own and really like this product.

But be warned, if you buy Orbx Vector and combine it with Utimate Europe, the airport elevations may be messed up.  What I mean is that Orbx vector somehow isn't g-ing up with the Ultimate Europe, at least on my system.

In my opinion, not a problem with Utimate Europe, but with the Orbx Vector.  I wonder if Orbx Vector was really and completely tested with the Utimate Europe mesh?  I think all of the screenshots from the Orbx site only shows Europe LC + Vector + FSGlobal2010.  This implies to me that maybe the Vector wasn't tested with Utimate Europe?

OK one more time:

All mesh causes this.

Fix it using AEC or change the airport elevations yourself!

It is not Vector, it is not LC, it is not Global.

I assume when you say AEC, you mean Airport Elevations Corrections within the FTX Global Vector tool.  I have disabled and applied it with AEC and it still doesn't work.

You will get some airport elevations that are not correct.

The AFM - Aerodrome Flattening Meshes tool that comes with FS Global Ultimate Europe has the following message on their website:  "ATTENTION! This version of AFM was NOT designed to work with FS/FTX Global Vector installed! We are considering to offer a V2.0 soon".

So considering that I am getting a lot of airport elevations that are not correct with the combination of FS Global Ultimate Europe and FSX Global Vector, for the time being, I am going to consider that they are not completely compatible.

I still like and plan on using the combination of Vector and Global Ultimate Europe, but for the time being I am going to ignore to airport elevation issues.

Sorry to hijack this, but my question is in line with topic:

do you guys actually suggest adding FS Global Ultimate Europe/Africa, since I already have:

FS Global 2010 (mesh)

ORBX OpenLC Europe (landclass)

ORBX Global Base + Vector (scenery)

I am thinking that ORBX will most likely extend its FTX Terrain to cover the entire Europe (currently just in UK + Ireland), so is it worth adding this extra mesh from Pilot's FS Global series? It ain't cheap...

Will I see real improvements in Europe, right now?

Many thanks!

Here you have some comparisions - FS Ultimate vs FS Global

IMO it is not worth it. You are using ORBX stuff which is compatible with FS Global 2010, not Ultimate series.
