Will DLSS5 Take XP12 to Visual Realism Never Before Possible
Ben Supnik mentioned few times that they have motion vectors in plans and then it will enable them implementing DLSS and FSR. I think this is a must for any video game in active development. I'm excited with the latest version 4 of DLSS. In DCS all instruments are readable in VR and its a big improvement.

Water still sucks in P3D V3.3.5
Here is better comparison. Default P3D water Water with PTA adjustments: I think REX, but I am not sure, because I have uninstalled REX after getting AS16 and ASCA.

Water still sucks in P3D V3.3.5
It is ORBX New Zealand NI + Milford Sound. Airport is NZMJ. Well, please just focus on the water. I have used PTA to increase reflectivity, blur wave effect and limpidity (how much colors of ocean bottom are taken into account). In my opinion, these changes made water much more realistic.

Water still sucks in P3D V3.3.5
Download this marvelous tool - PTA - http://www.avsim.com/topic/489018-prepar3d-tweak-assistant-pta/ It has options to increase reflectivity of water, its transparency regarding to the bottom, blur the waves etc. I have some incredible screenshots with updated shaders, I will post them here when I am back from work. Which C152?
Hi, I have been training for my PPL in Carenado's C152 and it was very helpful. For basic training it was enough. I could get familar with the cockpit, trained procedures and traffic patterns and navigation in cross country. Good luck in your training! Lukasz

Free tool to transform online map into GPS
Hello everyone. Some of you might be interested in new feature that is now available in VfrFlight v2.1 (http://vfrflight.org). As the topic says, it transforms any Google / OSM / MapBox map into GPS display. You can make the window to stay on top, over your simulator, and than it looks like this: Here is a short preview video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4VeRI553ZI And the most important thing is that it is free  . Enjoy!

Looking for ideas for flights in North America
Hi, I am usually flying in Europe, but since ORBX released OpenLC NA, I would love to do some flights in US. I am looking for ideas for short flights, with length range around 100-200nm in some interesting, scenic areas. Maybe you had already discovered some great places, and you could share? I would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks, Lukasz

VfrFlight is now coming to XPlane
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I will check the script. You can import XPlane data with selecting option from 'Tools' menu. Export/import for flightplans is done for FMS files, so I guess it should work for default XPlane 10 Garmin. You need to select this from menu 'Flight plans'. Lukasz

What is a good route to go from fairly amatuer to pretty advanced?
Hi, this sounds completely reasonable to me. You are basically taking the path of every real pilot. Some people just skips the 'single prop', VFR part of their trainings and jump into IFR in large jumbos, but then, they cannot fly by hand, land with crosswind or take care of navigation while having FMC failure. If you want, you can also watch my short series of video about VFR flight planning. I am private pilot with PPL and I explain there how to create and plan your VFR flight: http://www.youtube.com/embed?listType=playlist&list=PLha7fG74HaJMCiO53jaoU8oQkZ7nqfj0T Lukasz

VfrFlight is now coming to XPlane
Hello! Some of you could be familar with a free flight planner, that I am developing since last 3 years - VfrFlight (http://vfrflight.org). I am pleased to announce, that FINALLY I have implemented support for data import/export and FMS files for XPlane. I think, that the biggest advantage of VfrFlight is that it is fully cross-platform (runs on Windows, Linux, MacOS etc), and supports flight planning for FSX, P3D, XPlane and also... real flights as I am a holder of PPL license. More information and download link for the 'beta' is here: http://vfrflight.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=40 In my YouTube channel you can find bunch of videos with VfrFlight in action: https://www.youtube.com/user/lukaszkulasek/videos I would love to hear your feedback and opinions. Have a nice evening, Lukasz

Active Sky Cloud Art for FSX & P3D - Released!
I was pretty sceptical with spending 70EUR on this, but... just watch this video! No static images here could reproduce this immersion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IYQqZLyLLA

Beta 10.50
Hi Guys, I am quite new to XPlane, 10.45 is the first version I am using. My question is - how easy is updating to newer versions? Is full install mandatory? Thanks, Lukasz

Can you gain altitude faster at high altitudes?
You need to use speed of best climb. It depends on the altitude. You cannot be faster or slower, because your rate of climb would decrease. You should have a table with these speeds inside your Pilot Operating Handbook.

Tile coordinates
Hi guys! Those numbers made me dizzy too, so I have implemented new feature into VfrFlight (http://vfrflight.org). If you select 'Map Grid Layer' (1), and check 'Info under cursor' (2), you would get the name of HGT file that you need to use, and name of ZIP archive with that file that needs to be downloaded (from http://www.viewfinderpanoramas.org/Coverage%20map%20viewfinderpanoramas_org3.htm). Just point cursor at any place to read info. Enjoy Lukasz

New to X-Plane - Help!
Hi Tom, I am using XP only for a week so far, so I did some research. If you have some technical/computer skills try to set up Ortho4XP. It is a great tool, but manual and GUI are little bit confusing. There is a great video tutorial how to set it up on Youtube by user Eliot (Elias?) or smth like that. When I am back home, I would paste here a link. Ortho4XP creates very detailed, photorealistic scenery from OSM. Results depends on the quality of data, the best that I got so far was for Czech Republic (Praha).

Headphone vs speakers
Headphones give you more immersive experience and I always fly with them on. I have Sennheiser 555, but those are open headphones, which replicates the sound better, but without bass boost. It is a plus for me, but most people prefer bass than quality of sound. Before buying any specific model you could go to some larger store and try different headphones by yourself.

Anyone come back to FSX after trying P3D?
The best thing about FSX is that it doesn't change. The best thing about P3D is that it does change.

NZScenery Autogen version 2.0 Released!
Hello, This looks very interesting. How does it compare to ORBX New Zealand? Where can I get photoscenery to run with this? Is it free? Is there any video? Thanks

Aerobatics plane for p3d?
I tried some basic aerobatics in v1 of it - hammerheads, spins, sideslips etc. Flight model is great, I think this could be the closest you can get in FSX/P3D. But still, it is not DCS P51. I really wish, they could make a prop trainer like T6 Texan for DCS.

Cessna 172 capable at Tapini airport scenery?
Not a stupid question at all. Usually, it should be possible to land/take off from those bush strips. Problem is when you need to abort landing and go around. In some cases, C172 just wouldn't have enough power to escape terrain. In some of those strips, even more powerful airplanes are not able to go around beyond some point. I remember, that for a some airport I've seen a note of a point, behind which you should 'land or die' ...
