August 15, 201411 yr Hello, having a small issue here. I am using FS2crew and VOXATC together and assigned the soft mute key to my PTT button on my yoke. Pressing it shows up the 'M' for a second in the FS2crew panel. But when I'm talking to VOX, the FO still picks up what I say. For example, today ATC told me to climb to flightlevel XXX, I then responded 'Climb to flightlevel XXX' etc and my FO thought I told him to 'set climb thrust'. I checked at least twice my button assignments and mic setup
August 16, 201411 yr Commercial Member With "Soft" or "Hard Mute" enabled, the speech recognition system will still "hear" what the microphone picks up (as evidenced by what you see in the Green Bar). However, the FO should not "act" on anything detected speech commands. It's like his hands are tied behind his back. Also Soft Mute need to be "held down".. you can't just push it once and let it go. You need to hold it down while you're talking. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
August 16, 201411 yr Author Hello Bryan, yes that's what I'm doing. I hold the button down and release it until I finished talking to ATC but the FO still acts on any phrase. Do I have to set the repeat slider of the joystick button to max or should it work without?

August 18, 201411 yr Author That was the culprit! Now it's working like it should. I had it set to max before once but somehow FSX didn't save the control settings. Thanks for your input!
