September 8, 201411 yr Cape Newenham LLRS was a strange one because my gps Coordinates were a little bit off so it never went where I had wanted it to................nor sure if any one accuracy found it. This is where it should have been located. Just had never seen these objects any where else before. Oh, well. Well down the hill off the end of the runway. Steve
September 8, 201411 yr Creating these AOTDs was a lot of fun. I still have a bunch of new ones ready to go. I hope we get to put them out there again some day. We could round the number of Aerocaches up from 350 to 500 !
September 8, 201411 yr Author I also have a bunch ready to go Tom. It was too bad we never had a chance to get them out there in the first place. Steve
September 9, 201411 yr Once my GFWL free version goes up (I'm expecting that to be around when the servers go down in October), then we can start adding the ones you guys never got to add.
September 9, 201411 yr Great news Stone! Steve, get ready! With you and Steve... we might get over 1000 new Aerocaches not just 500! If I were you... I would fire up the SimDataEditor in Stone's toolkit to note down where your preferred aerocaches are. Maybe put it onto an Excel document. It is key to note down the Latitude, Longitude and Altitude. The reason is that this will really speed up the process and will make it easier for Stone to process and copy onto his database! Better now than later.... Kavinda J.D ^_^
September 9, 201411 yr I think my tool parses the same format that the core aerocaches in the Flight install use. I'll see if I can copy it here, and then you can use that template to format your aerocaches and it will be super easy to upload them.
September 9, 201411 yr Once my GFWL free version goes up (I'm expecting that to be around when the servers go down in October), then we can start adding the ones you guys never got to add. Hey Guys, before this goes up, I think we should discuss how the aerocaches will be presented. If a number of people are adding them, it's going to be real tough to keep track of all of them without a system. I think it's wonderful that Stonelance has this in the works and it will certainly revive Flight for us. So think about this and lets have some discussion. I'll start a new thread and pin it so we can all be up to date. Thanks. Thank you.
