September 12, 201411 yr First things first, you can't install Accel over SP2, it won't let you. You have to uninstall SP2 before you can install Accel. My bad on the F-16 vs. F/A-18, major brain fart there. I was also wrong in stating that the G1000 comes with Accel, it does not. FSX came in 2 versions, Standard and Deluxe. Standard does not include the G1000, Deluxe does.- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_X#Standard_vs._Deluxe_Edition This means the OP has Standard, not Deluxe. Installing Accel will not give you the G1000 if you only have Standard. If you have Gold I would uninstall FSX completely and start over with Deluxe, then Accel, that comes in the Gold package. Deluxe gives you more than just the G1000, compared to Standard. Sorry for the earlier confusion. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
September 12, 201411 yr Keeping things simple.. if you have the C172 G100 somewhere.. Rename the C172 folder on the new install as a backup and copy over the C172 folder from the install that has the G1000 in it. Bert
September 12, 201411 yr Author Thank you Bert, that worked perfectly and I now have the G100 C172 and Baron in my original FSX install. To everyone who is worried about a corrupted install, as I stated previously, this is at least the 10th machine that I have installed this version of FSX and Accel on due to upgrades. The nect time I upgrade my hardware I will install the Gold edition. But I have never had any issues with the base install of FSX and Accel that I have, I just never had these G1000 panels. And until I purchased the Gold edition I didn't know that I didn't have them because I never knew they existed. Thanks for the help. ------------- john croft
