October 3, 201411 yr hi there, i bought a new pc recently and im now running fSX in DX10 preview. Its up and running and everything is fine, but i have one little problem. The Sim runs 30fps smooth sometimes dropping to 29.6 but thats it.(heavily populated areas are less but im bush flying most of the time anyways) But i have this blue textures appear and disappear while flying. Ill post my specs, my Config and my Setting at the end of the Post, and you would really help me, if you could look over it. Maybe you find something to stop this annoying blue texture. If you have any other suggestions for Settings or tweaks, i will try them too. Im quiete new to tweaking and so on. Before i just made setting in the settings menu, and did the bojote thing. Thank You Jonathan Specs: i7-4770, running at stock Speed. i have an Alpine 11GT Fan, maybe i could try some oc? 16 GB Ram Nvidia GTX 760 WIn 7 64bit FSX deluxe + Acc Addons: Orbx Regions and global, UTX Europe, Aerosoft German Airfields 1 I have one of the DX10 fixing files downloaded and installed (shader release v.3.2.3) My Settings in FSX are the following Graphics Targett fps set to 30 Resolution: 1920X1080x32 Anisotrop Antialiasing on Golbal texture resolution: very high DX10 on Lens flare on Light bloom on advanced animation on Aircraft Aircraft casts shadows on the ground off Aircraft casts shadow on itself on Aircraft landing lights illuminate ground on Scenery LOD radius: Large MESH Complexity 100 MESH resolution: 10m Texture resolution: 15cm Water effects: max 2.x Land detail structures: on (what does this btw?) October 3, 201411 yr Hello Jazznow, With the freeware there is a folder called "bonus!" in there there is a tweak to change those blue textures to black. But you do need to add some lines to your FSX.CFG file and ity will help reduce how many you see. Here is a link to the guides to the DX10 fixer, a lot of what is in here applies to the freeware version your using. The FSX config tweaks that are mentioned need to be added to your config. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?88271-DX10-quot-How-to-quot-Guide-a-new-home I used the freeware version for a week and its was great, but I bought the paid version and highly recommend it if you have a lot of addons as it fixes almost all the problems. The freeware one has its limitations but it is an awesome freeware. What ever version you use there is a lot adjusting to do to find the right settings for your system. Be patient with it, it is very worth it. Both version stop the VAS out of memory errors you can get in DX9 version. This for me is the best part of DX10 mode. Regards Sebastian Sebastian Hernandez
October 4, 201411 yr Just to add to the other post its also recommended to leave out ForceFullScreenVSync=1 and add DisablePreLoad=1 in the [Main} section, which helps with tearing. bob
October 4, 201411 yr Author Thanks everybody for the replies. I will experiment a little bit and see what is possible. Bob and driver: if I understand you correctly, you have opposed opinions regarding force full screen. If I don't use that line in the cfg, as bob suggested, will I have to disable it in inspector too? Thanks so far Jonathan
October 4, 201411 yr Hi Jonathan leave your vsync NI settings as they are, and just enter the DisablePreload in the 'Main' section. Bob
