The next flightsim?  Why a next one - they're all already there for you to start using!, with the exception of Aerofly FS 2

- Aerowinx PSX for the airliners,

- DCS world for great flight and systems dynamics,

- maybe Aerofly FS for leisure flying (?)

Like ww2 and ww1 Era machines and air combat? Then go also for IL2 BOS and Rise of Flight !!! The future is being made on both platforms, as well as in DCS World, all of the three in constant development, with only Rise of Flight being less dynamic...

All of the above flight simulation platforms offer you, far more detailed and quality flight dynamics and overall physics modeling, with PSX covering the whole World, including it's own highly sophisticated weather model ( unique in many aspects in terms of modeling of Earth's troposphere and a bit above that layer :-) ), ATC, Dispatch & Handling, failures....

DCS World, IL2 BOS and Rise of Flight are all Air Combat sims, but DCS can be used just to fly around, tasting some of the most advanced flight and systems models for fixed wing and rotary aircraft. You can even use it's two ww2 fighters at some Aerobatics and Air Race MP Servers. Although presently limited to an area of Caucasus, new maps will be made available in the future, including ww2 areas.

If accuracy of the flight and physics modeling, systems, and operations according to rw procedures is what you aim at, PSX and DCS World are the way to go... For a less demanding systems modelling platform, IL2 BOS and RoF if you also like air combat.

Fo goodness sake.... So what!!

I love flying so much that inaccurate statements need to be pointed out and corrected, no more so than if someone said that landing a plane upside down is SOP.

Sigh! Guys, it's only a game, from ACES Gaming Studio!! (apart from P3D that is sold as a simulator)

There are those that get emmersed in the game & want to do things as realistically as they can, with gaming joysticks, or whatever controls they use, etc. (FS9 & FSX sold in gaming shops, etc!)

I'm sure that there are guys also following SOP's using twist grip joysticks --  hardly SOP!

There are also those that just want to have fun & do not really care about exact SOP

I am sure that there is no-one here, using any of the available sims, that say landing upside down is SOP!

We need to respect all of those that love & enjoy this hobby of our for whatever reason they have.

We are here to have fun & enjoy this hobby of ours & it does not really matter on the levels of SOP we follow.

Oh look, another person who has no idea what they are talking about.

Old habits die hard.

Do you even know what your talking about? o.O ,

I think xPlane is a serious candidate...

I think xPlane is a serious candidate...

If they had airports instead of airstrips. Towns with tarmac roads instead of being made of grass, and straight shadows instead of sawtooth ones. Not a very good advertisement for 64bit frankly!
