May 10, 201511 yr Hi Maarten ! Thanks for the possibility to change the user 's aircraft color. Unfortunately the AI aircrafts are now not clickable and visible. Scott Hi Scott, I do not understand what you mean by 'clickable', AI aircraft are not clickable. I have no problems showing the AI traffic: Please make sure that: You actually have AI traffic in the simulator SLX is connected to the simulator (you have the green light at the top right hand corner) AI traffic is turned on in SLX on the Simulator contextual ribbon tab of the map The map is zoomed in far enough for the AI traffic to be visible; the zoom level is shown in the bottom right hand corner of the map footer between brackets. the minimum zoom level for AI traffic can be set by clicking on the little icon in the bottom right hand corner of the Aircraft group on the Simulator tab thanks, Maarten Maarten Boelens ([m][a:][R][t][ʏ][n]) Developer of SimLauncherX
May 10, 201511 yr Hi Maarten ! Thanks for the possibility to change the user 's aircraft color. Unfortunately the AI aircrafts are now not clickable and visible. Scott Any ideas,Maarten? Ooops, you just answered while I was writing. Everything is as it should be.But I can not select or deselect AI traffic on theSimulator contextual ribbon. Scott
May 10, 201511 yr Hi Scott, This button is disabled when either SLX is not connected to the simulator (no green light at the top right) or the map is not zoomed in far enough. The default minimum zoom level for AI traffic is 7. thanks, Maarten Maarten Boelens ([m][a:][R][t][ʏ][n]) Developer of SimLauncherX
May 10, 201511 yr Thanks again, for your superb support. Now everything is working fine :im Not Worthy: Scott
November 27, 201510 yr Goodmorning Marteen and all, Thank you for great tool, I really admire your programming skills!! Two requests: 1) possibilty to add a new flight, I know you have to make a copy of the existing default, but is it possible to automate the process somehow. i.e. Press New Flight Button> (copy transparently the default flight) >Prompt the user to select an aircraft and then the departure > Move to flight plan settings. 2) is it posible to have both the sim and the tool active the same time? What I mean is I want to fiddle with SimLauncher X while at the same time FS is active and not going to PAUSE status. Thank you Marteen Nikos
November 27, 201510 yr Hi Nikos, It's Maarten, not Marteen. 1) What version are you using? There's a 'New' button on the Flight plan ribbon tab, but I changed the 'New' button on the Flight ribbon tab to 'Copy' some 29 versions and 52 days ago. Please perform a check for update on the Home ribbon tab or select 'Check for update on startup' in the Home|Settings|General settings. When you press the 'Copy' button, a copy of the selected flight is made, not a copy of the default flight. If I were to automate the creation of a new flight, such a 'wizard' would have to include duplicates of all of the windows that are already present, because not only do you have to select a location and an aircraft, you would have to set the time, weather, fuel and aircraft systems as well. It's easy enough as it is to configure your flight. 2) In your simulator go to Settings|General and uncheck 'Pause on task switch' thanks, Maarten Maarten Boelens ([m][a:][R][t][ʏ][n]) Developer of SimLauncherX
November 28, 201510 yr Hello Maarten, Im really sorry that I misspelled your name and Im not going to blame any auto-correct thing... 1) you are right, it was my misunderstanding 2) God I thought I checked about this several times, I assumed it a "feature" of your app. Thank you Maarten for this valuable FS start up commander everyone wished for (i did)! Thank you Nikos P.S. Is it possible to have a look on your wishilst about this app, what are going to bring in this tool in the future?
November 28, 201510 yr Hi Nikos, Now that performance and stability have improved, I finally have some time to continue with the G1000: http://www.avsim.com/topic/457647-progress-on-g1000-update-01062015/ thanks, Maarten Maarten Boelens ([m][a:][R][t][ʏ][n]) Developer of SimLauncherX
November 29, 201510 yr Great and I wonder what that g1000 gauge was doing in the install folder... I will try that asap! Thank you very much, Nikos
December 1, 201510 yr Hello Maarten ! The FTX section is greyed out! Didn't that work before? Regards, Scott
December 2, 201510 yr Hi Scott, I suppose you refer to the buttons in the FTX group on the Home ribbon tab? The button to change the FTX region is greyed out only when SLX is installed on a remote client and there's no connection to SlxServer. The FTX Central button is disabled when SLX is connected to the simulator (green 'traffic light'). thanks, Maarten Maarten Boelens ([m][a:][R][t][ʏ][n]) Developer of SimLauncherX
December 15, 201510 yr Goodmorning Maarten, Is Simlauncher compatible with Opus FSI weather application? Thank you Nikos
December 19, 201510 yr Hi Nikos, Sorry for the late reply: I did not get a notification from the forum system. Unfortunately Opus FSI is not supported because it does not export a file with world wide weather data: it only exports weather data of an area of 800 by 800 nm around your current position. Thanks, Maarten Maarten Boelens ([m][a:][R][t][ʏ][n]) Developer of SimLauncherX
