Have you tried the 1.1 update for the A36? It fixed some problems with the Garmin that a few users were having. I don't know what the problems were, or if they are relevant to you, but I thought I would mention it. The A36 runs great for me.Tony

So do I Ron. Jean Luc did a great job integrating the Garmin trainer into FS.That doesn't take away from my points though, which is that his solution means problems for some of your potential customers if you adopt it and that therefore going your own way may make perfect sense from a technical and business perspective.

The performance problems I'm having exist even without the RXP gauges accessing the trainer. If the trainer is running while FS is running FS often gets hardly any CPU.

Nice Shots Alex,Good to see you around. :-)If you are interested there is also a FREEWARE Cirrus SR20 now in the Avsim Library to try out as well. Here is the link:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...04ac&DLID=66089It has the older panel (heh, older when saying Cirrus, too funny.) :-)with the Arnav Unit. Give it a try, the visual model is very well done, has VC, Twin Garmin GPS 430's, etc....Take Care,Joe aopa.gif" border="0" alt="Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

Jeroen, your points are well and we do not mean to diminish them...just saying that our primary goal, along with quality, is to make our projects affordable for a large segment of flightsimmers:-)

Joe, why try to hijack a thread when there is a perfectly good one that you started re: the recent release of the quality freeware pack from Guenter and co.;) The title of this one is Eaglesoft Cirrus SR20:-lol

>Joe, why try to hijack a thread when there is a perfectly>good one that you started re: the recent release of the>quality freeware pack from Guenter and co.;) >>The title of this one is Eaglesoft Cirrus SR20:-lol >First off there Ron, mr Payware developer. :-lolSince you see the need to chime in, the thread is about a Cirrus SR20, and since there is a new one in the library at Avsim, it is relevant. I felt, you know being a big boy and all, that some might be interested in this FREEWARE Release. If you have a problem, use the alert button and notify a Mod.Also, it seems the mods have left this one here even though it is screenshots and should probably be located in the screenshot forum, not here, in my opinion. Not only that, the images in the first post here are themselves links from that place. Too Funny.... :-lolAnd then you take your commercial images and upload them to Avsim in this thread, TWICE, under your screenname, which I also think is unfair. If you want to advertise your planes, you could use your own bandwidth instead of taking advantage of Avsim, in my opinion, which is how I see it. Ironic, eh?Also, if it had been in the screenshot forum, there is a rule against Developers posting screenshots, which you were allowed to do in this thread allowing you further free advertising on Avsim's back. Here is a link in case you were not aware of that rule too.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=109314&page=Where it says:"Commercial Vendors:Please note that screenshot posts from commercial vendors with images of their payware product are NOT allowed. We consider any developers, beta team members, etc. part of the development team. Regular users of that product can post all the images they want. Your co-operation on this matter is appreciated. All commercial vendors should e-mail [email protected] if you would like your product previewed."Now, there doesn't seem to be that rule in this forum, maybe I will suggest it to the staff here. :-)So before you hop on your almighty high horse, look at your own actions. Oh, and I'll add a smiley too. :-lol :-lol :-lolLastly, I was talking to Alex, who was one of our race participants in the RTW Race. So there. :-lolJoe[/fontaopa.gif" border="0" alt="Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

Because Joe is on an anti-payware crusade lately.

Joe,I'm a real fan of payware. I'm also aware of the fact, that you've used little of it. :) In fact, if it wasn't for some of these fine payware offerings, I'd probably be out of the hobby of flight simming altogether. Good freeware certainly comes along once in a while, but seldom hit's the highest quality some payware offers. IMO--- You did "hijack" the thread, to again push the freeware SR20. In essence, you're saying....................if you can get it for free, then why pay?Do keep in mind, that the majority of payware developers started with years of providing freeware for the "love of the hobby", as has been stated "too" many times. But "who" would expect these developers, who have gained great skill in this type of programming to do "freeware" forever? IMO--- The high quality of MSFS offerings would never be where it's at, if it wasn't for "payware"! Just look at Fly/FlyII as an example. The freeware offerings were always raising the bar for the first few years. And that's while the "fun" factor in programming exisited for the original programmer/designers of scenery, clouds, and aircraft. But once the "fun" wears off, and research, programming, and customer service becomes a job.......................then the "best" & highly skilled programmers leave!PMDG for FLY is an excellent example of this. The commercial aircraft they designed became very time consuming, which took away from the developers every day lives. It then becomes closer to a full time job & requires compensation for any person who really needs a paycheck to survive. FLY got to the point of providing little financial gain for 3rd party development, yet PMDG does well, and constantly raises the bar with aircraft for MSFS.Joe, like it or not, these forums exist for both the promotion of payware and freeware. If the payware groups recieved no farther exposure on these forums, then I'm sure that I'd do a lot less reading here.L.Adamson

Joe, your pathetic attempts at undermining my company are really getting sillier each day.You have managed to convince us that your motivation for all of this has to do your obvious envy of our and other payware companies success:-)Anyway back to the issue I raised...which was WHY you feel that you must try in some way to hijack threads? You still haven't given account for that action. As to the issues you mention we'll make it simple enough that even you will "get it" this time...1. We did not author this thread nor did we authorize links from our site. We do not know the author past what we learned in these forums after he posted. You will need to speak to the author of this thread as to his motivation but we choose to believe his intentions were to INFORM people about our project. The thread has raised some very interesting responses if you take the time to read what OTHERS have to say instead of your own long moan and groan session.2. We are as surprised as you that the mods here allowed it to remain but must say that it has been an informative and helpful thread prior to your pathetic attempt to hijack it with your once again inflated sense of importance.3. Almost forgot...the screens I posted were in response to simmers REQUESTS if you take the time to READ what OTHERS have to say instead of your own rantings.4. Let it go Joe before you pop a vein.

lol

If you want to advertise your planes,>you could use your own bandwidth instead of taking advantage>of Avsim, in my opinion, which is how I see it. Ironic,>eh?>Same happens at Flightsim com. with Dreamfleet, and it doesn't bug me in the least. Since I'm well aware that "payware" is my favorite type of aircraft..............by far, then I'd have little use for a forum where "payware" doesn't seem to exist. L.Adamson

>You have managed to convince us that your motivation for all>of this has to do your obvious envy of our and other payware>companies success:-)>That's it! :D Austin Meyer, the one man band for X-Plane, now owns a special edition fully loaded SR22, along with his 'vett and other toys. The way I see it, programming X-Plane, is no different than programming models for MSFS; and yet Austin Meyer seems to do well, and has something Joe would really like...L.Adamson
