The thread was posted about our specific project by someone who seems sincere about his interest and appears to be someone who is interested in the flightsim community whether the the source be payware or freeware.....then along comes "Joe Blow" to inform EVERYONE in the community what HE thinks is best for flightsimming and how best to rid the sim community of those hords of payware developers that he seems to hate so much. :-lol

I thought this thread was was progressing nicely until just a bit ago. If your not interested in it, don't read it. Now, back to the Cirrus.Tony

Ron, exactly. We see this original thread posting as one from an enthusiastic future user of your add on. Your entry into the discussion did answer questions and give more information on your forthcoming release. You did not originate the thread, and there is no connection between the original poster and your company (that we know of); either one of which would have been cause for deletion.Joe, chill out dude.

And wouldn't you know it.......they even have a special forum all to themselves, right here at Avsim! And it's the same with many other payware groups who help keep the interest in these forums ALIVE!!!L.Adamson

And if you have a problem with that, I simply don't care, as it is another example of a developer bashing someone who supports freeware. :-lol :-lolYou don't like it tough, that is the market. And just because a freeware developer releases something that competes with you, before you have a chance to release your own, doesn't diminish my right to offer alternatives to anyone I please. And I was originally speaking to Alex in this thread, so it was you, in my opinion who made the disparaging remark.Do you honestly believe that a user here does not have a right to post about a freeware similar aircraft in a payware thread. If so why not? Maybe you should start a thread on that subject then. It has been standard practice here for YEARS, and many others besides me have done so. Try the search feature here, and you will find them.Oh, by the way your words in the quote are FALSE and Incorrect, as I never informed everyone. That would take aover 21,000 Views, which I don't think this thread has, so you are wrong Ron, deal with it.And as far as hate goes, I don't believe I've ever stated I hate any developer in those words. Care to back that up. I may disagree with some of their HYPOCRITICAL actions and policies, but hate is a bit strong.aopa.gif" border="0" alt="Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

Thanks Tom, We assure you and others who are interested, that we have no prior knowledge of the author of this thread but have since it's appearance emailed him requesting photos of the actual aircraft he flies. All of which violates no rule that we are aware of.We have indeed taken pains to keep the thread imformative and on a track that avoids "commercial promotion" which again violates none of the rules here that we are aware of.We thank you and the staff for allowing it to remain as long as there is true INFORMATIVE content:-)

Joe, just FYI...we have known the freeware Cirrus developers for quite some time and have high regard for their work.We do not feel that we are in competition with them but rather both complement each other. We are aware that not everyone can afford to purchase addons for flightsimulation and the freeware version of the Cirrus certainly satisfies the need for those folks who may not be able to purchase a Cirrus model:-)We see this as a great year for both freeware and commercial flightsimulation even if you don't:-)

Can anyone say who is doing the flight model? I know Rob Young has done some projects for Eaglesoft, and I won't complain if he is doing the Cirrus. That said, I know there are many other talented flight model folks out there and Eaglesofts reputation is good.Tony

Woo-hoo! Just to be clear, I was hoping it was Rob, but allowing for the fact others do good work as well. Tony

Thats right, Steve Small does excellent work along with Ron Freimuth and the guy who's name escapes me but did the FDE for the Dream Fleet A36:-) I'm sure there are others but these are the ones we are familiar with:-)

Almost forgot, we had links for Cirrus and Avidyne sites in our forum which allow users to download a POH for the Cirrus and PDF's of the Avidyne Flightmax Entegra system...The Avidyne site link is here http://www.avidyne.com/techpubs.shtm#brochuresBe sure to download Avidyne Flightmax Entegra EX5000C series as used in the SR20 G2 and the SR22 G2, and their free desktop trainer for their EX500 system as well.:-)The Cirrus Design link above is here http://www.cirrusdesign.com/serviceandupgr...pilotoperators/ for you to download the SR20 and SR22 POH in .pdf format. You are forewarned they are huge! Each one is around 480 pages which translates to approx. 8MB in size. Once you save them you can print the manuals for reference and they contain all the necessary information including performance charts as well as weight and balance sheets!!
