November 26, 201411 yr Hi everyone, just a heads up so you can go and download the latest version which has a few bug fixes and improvements. The earlier 2.1 had a bug that crashed the program if you scanned the same huge number of files many times over, and also the program could seem none responsive while doing the scanning, although that wasn't a big issue but that is also fixed now. Now it also shows in real time where the scanning is taking place and the program should be a bit faster over all. regards, Peter http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=187538&CatID=genutils btw, I don't have P3D yet so I don't know if it uses bmp textures at all or only dds. You can however safely do a scan on P3D as well and if should work perfectly fine there too, IF P3D uses dxt3/dxt5 compressed bmp.

November 26, 201411 yr Yikes, those are a lot of downloads for that short period. Thanks for your work and the tool.
November 26, 201411 yr Author Thanks! I didn't know where to post this as the tool is for both FS9 and FSX. It's accually mainly for FS9 as only .bmp textures are used there, but also applies to FSX although it wont touch .dds files at all. As I don't have P3D yet, I don't know if it uses .bmp textures any more or only .dds Maybe someone who has P3D could try it out. @CooIP - The downloads from the previous versions were added to the 2.2 version so it hasn't been downloaded >6000 times today although that would've been nice ^_^
November 27, 201411 yr 120 missing alphas found and fixed. Yay! 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
November 27, 201411 yr When it fixes the alpha channel, does it retain existing mip maps now. The previous version fixed missing alphas but I had to re mip 100's of my aircraft.
November 27, 201411 yr Author When it fixes the alpha channel, does it retain existing mip maps now. The previous version fixed missing alphas but I had to re mip 100's of my aircraft. It does not and have never affected the mip maps. Something else must have caused those problems for you.
November 28, 201411 yr I've been using the older version for a long, long time. Got hundreds of textures fixed -- including some that I made myself! Thanks for this great tool, Peter! Gabriel J. T.
