November 29, 201411 yr Hello, I recently got FSX and configured my yoke and my throttle quadrent etc. I then closed fsx for the day came back the next day and everything got erased. I know this is not supposed to happen. I was wondering if any of you could help me fix my problem. P.S. Im kinda new to Windows so if possible explain kinda "slow" Thanks, Xplosion

December 3, 201411 yr There are two fsx.cfg's in the hidden folder. If you have a crash or fsx shuts down improperly, a fsx.txt file will be created (this was suppose to be sent to Microsoft so they could try to find out why FSX crashed or shutdown). So, you need to open up the fsx.cfg instead of the fsx.txt. You can go into Folder Options in your Windows Explorer and click on the View tab and then uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' (this is the same place you go to show hidden files and folders).
