  1. Hello, I am looking into buying another 22" Monitor for FSX. I have looked up of FSX runs slower with 2 monitors then 1, and yes it does not to my surprise. I have heard that some cases it makes FSX unplayable and other cases a small drop in FPS. I AM planning on running FSX on the other computer rather than charts. Also would it matter if I hooked the 2 monitors into a graphics card or a TripleHead2Go. I have a moderate computer and these are the important specs. - AMD Athlon X4 750K Processor - XFX Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition Graphics Card - MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Motherboard So all I would like to know is would I take a big hit on FPS if I would use FSX on two monitors? - Jack
  2. Hello, I recently was thinking in my head it would be really cool If I could build a 737 overhead panel to add to the realism. Then I looked up some DIY overhead ideas and saw some that are really cool. There was one by Peter from Build A Boeing and a couple other ones. I am not good at all with wiring and all that. I was wondering if there are any plug and play 737 overhead models that are under $300. Also needs to be compatible with PMDG 737. Thanks so much, Jack Roberts
  3. I see. Is there anything like a flows and procedures booklet that would have anything in there about when to use the clock. Someday I would like to use the clocks. two questions 1) for bleed air when do I turn it on and off 2) what do you mean by light off. Thanks, Jack Roberts
  4. Hello, Recently I have been on youtube and watched some real boeing 737 take-off and land and all that. I see them use the chronometer ALOT. As soon as they start the engines they start the chronometer, when they take-off, when they land. I was wondering why they use the chronometer so much. If any of you know when and what the chronometer is used for (Ex: Chronometer starts after engine start up so the engines have time to get ready for take. IDK) I would like to use the clock instead of it being decoration. Thanks, Jack Roberts
  5. Yep...read it about 2 minutes after posting this comment and figured everything out. Thanks for everyone's help I plan on flying my first Vatsim flight tomorrow. Thanks Jack Roberts
  6. Ok the satus has changed a little It reconizes my headset. I press my push to talk button, how do I know its working. I will give vPilot a go Edit: Got vPilot set up everything I think, but when I connected Im getting a bunch of messages saying "BAW1314" Error failed to create aircraft this usally means that the model is not actually installed. The aircraft will be created with a different model I dont know what to do can you please help?
  7. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is I signed up for Vatsim and got my account registered. The bad news is when I installed FSInn and FSCopilot everything worked fine until I got to the microphone area. Now I have a microphone attached to my headset and the headset is USB. So I plugged the headset into a USB port and it worked, but never showed up as an option in the FSInn UI (something like that) I noticed any thing I plugged manually into the audio jack in the pc itself it would show up as an option. When I plugged the headset into the audio jacks in the pc it wouldnt reconize it and the headset would work at all. I was wondering if there was any advice I could get on how to resolve this issue. If you didnt understand any of it its ok I kinda needed to get this off my chest. Thanks, Jack Roberts
  8. I did a quick search for the ground charts I was talking about and I could only find this for KIAD it would help a beginner. http://www.cockpitseeker.com/wp-content/uploads/PARKING-CHART.png Jack Roberts Also while Im at it I was looking on the Vatsim and saw that you need to current weather for where you are flying, and I know fsx has a weather generator but lets be honest its not that great. I was wondering if there was a good FREEWARE version of anything. I might get rex later down the road. Thanks, Jack Roberts
  9. If I do decide to sign up I will definitely fly this route. Do you know if there are any ground movement charts besides the airport diagram. I know they have one for KIAD in Washington. If you know where these charts are available please let me know, Thanks Jack Roberts
  10. Just after I posted my comment about being "worried" about vatsim I looked on the website and was thinking to myself I think this would be a good experience. So I may give it a go. What airports do you think would be a good starting airport, and also would it be best to have ATC running on one computer and flight sim on another. Thanks, Jack Roberts
  11. Next time I will make sure to turn my packs on after engine start-up. Thanks, Jack Roberts I would really like to fly on Vatsim but I am to worried that I will either make mistakes or wont be able to understand them.
  12. I have a quick question and I hope you dont mind me asking, but when I was flying a short flight today from KLAS to KSFO the departure went fine and I got up to the cruise altitude and then I heard what I thought was the takeoff configuration, but then I thought to myself im in the air. It kept beeping until I hit the airhorn cutout button. Then on my cabin pressure panel it said auto fail, and the panel turned blank. I want to make sure I dont make this mistake agian. Thanks Jack Roberts
  13. After uninstalling FSX and getting all the drivers for my components I think I have solved the problem. Thanks so much, Xplosion
  14. Ok I do have one more question. How would I go about assigning my reverse thrust button. When I did it a couple days ago I would have to wait till the engines reached somewhere around 20% n1 till the reverses actually worked. Is the armed spoilers button a button or is it the when I actually move the spoilers axis. Thanks, Jack Roberts
  15. Hello, I am kinda new to the very cool pmdg 737 ngx and I can do just about everything but autoland. Just before top of decent I would program my radios and my HUDS up display on the center pedestal. I would enter in the elevation, length, and select the ARMIII. After that I would capture the localizer select APP then select CMDB. The aircraft flares like it's supposed to, but then that's it. In videos I have seen the spoilers retract and the reverse trust comes up, when I do it I would usually do it manually and I'm pretty sure that's not right. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask. Thanks, Xplosion
  16. Never of actually thought about installing it as administer, but before I reinstalled pmdg I will try to figure out my controls. Would I need to turn off my anti-virus software if I was installing it via disk? Thanks for the help and I will get back to as soon as possible.
  17. I looked in the main Program Files x82 - MicrosoftGames etc I could not find that file in the main FSX directory folder. Either im looking in the wrong place or I dont have it at all. If you could help this would be great. Also in AppCrashView it has reasons on why It stopped and a couple are stopped working and some are stopped responding. The one I posted earlier was a stopped working. If you need the stopped responding error code I would be more than happy to post it. Thanks for your help, Xplosion
  18. So removing the uiautomationcore.dll out of the fsx root directory should fix the problem. Thanks Xplosion
  19. I think this is what you are talking about. I dont know if its right because its really long. If not could you tell me where to find it. 20. Hello, I recently got a computer (about a month ago) and everything was working fine. Then a week later I loaded the PMDG 737 NGX and FSX started to give me mid flight crashes. The screen becomes unresponsive then the blue loading circle comes up. A couple seconds after that it closes and says FSX fatal error, windows looking for solution. I have tried a lot of things but none have seemed to work. Next time I get the crash I will try to get the error code. If there are any question dont be afraid to ask. Thanks, Xplosion
  21. Its ok. Im playing fsx right now and I dont know why but it keeps crashing. its been happening for a while.
  22. Can someone please help, I have not yet found a solution.
