December 4, 201411 yr Author Dog, that will be the XLS+... B) I'd love to see a decent Gulfstream G650, but that would be difficult to happen, as I read sometime ago that Gulfstream doesn't facultate the schematics noor flight characteristics to FS developers because they don't want their aircraft to be reproduced for FS. Idon't know whether this is true or not, but... Oh well... And I'd love to have a Bombardier Global (doesn't matter what series) to fly in FS. You're welcome. B)

December 4, 201411 yr Am I right that Eaglesoft are no longer developing for FS9? I wish they would! Graeme Butler

December 4, 201411 yr Am I right that Eaglesoft are no longer developing for FS9? I wish they would! Can't say never but the market requires FSX and P3D...
December 4, 201411 yr Author It's true indeed, but there are stil a lot of people who can't afford to have a super computer that is able to run FSX/P3D with the settings maxed out and with many addons (aircraft ans scenery mainly) like FS9 is now able to (and for some time now, in fact) with a medium-end computer for today's standards. Plus, and this is only a personal opinion, FSX brought a lot of revollutionary features, but there are others that I don't like, and in terms of views I recall the inability to get "near" the aircraft on spot view instead of only maintaining the same distance and zooming it, like if the image was taken with a photo camera standing static but only zooming. Anyway, this is only the evolution. Some specs come in, some others go out. It's ordinary. The only real bad thing about FSX or P3D is that not "many" people cann afford a PC that runs it smoothly and maxed out.

The only real bad thing about FSX or P3D is that not "many" people cann afford a PC that runs it smoothly and maxed out. Could you run FS9 maxed out when you first bought it ? P3D with all sliders to the left looks a lot better than Fs9 maxed out. Sorry the "I wont buy it because I cannot run it maxed out" excuse does not hold water. None of us have ever been able to run any sim maxed out when it was first released.
December 5, 201411 yr Can't say never but the market requires FSX and P3D... That's what I thought. I'll be sticking with FS9 for a while nevertheless. Graeme Butler
December 5, 201411 yr Back to the Citation X, Tonight I had my first succesful complete flightfor a long time in the CX, I have had an ongoing battle for a long time with the MFD freezing at around 70nm from the destination, The CX is my favorite addon bar none so this has had me trying everything to resolve it. What changed tonight ?, Well Ron will probably tell me it is unsupported by Eaglesoft but in desperation I bought the latest Aerosoft Navdata Pro cycle after being a Navigraph user since the beginning. Updated my planners and the CX, built a plan in Fsbuild EGGW-EIKY and entered it by hand in the FMC. I am now having a beer, this has had me chasing my tail for a very long time, it almost became a game within a game testing with different software settings and mixtures of addons. Hopefully it is the end of my problems, the CX is really one of those special addons and I am glad to have sorted it out.
December 5, 201411 yr Your right it's unsupported and we hope it lasts but Imagine the "hand built plan" is your secret.. Glad to hear you had some success. B) We still run FS9 as well FSX and P3D but have nearly canned development on it due to so few sales for the FS9 platform.
