December 8, 201411 yr Moderator Just wanted to say I installed the P3D version tonight. Only had time to do a flight in a snow storm and I must say I really like the effects. I had no issues with the install and so far so good with the product. Thanx! Vic Baron RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
December 8, 201411 yr Umm. I may need to do do some tweaking. Precip now really kills my performance. More than using default it seems. May just be a fluke. William
December 8, 201411 yr Author Moderator I had no performance issues with the snow. I'll have to check rain. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
December 8, 201411 yr How does it compare to the fsx version? That's what I've been using with P3D...haven't yet had a chance to download the update...comments so far? AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11
December 8, 201411 yr P3D has a major issue with texture loading, maximum LOD is 6.5 I think, and due to DX11 it acts like LOD is 4.5. I've gone back to FSX due to this, couldnt stand the blurry texture loading.
December 8, 201411 yr Author Moderator I had no texture loading issues, no blurries. Other than visual there was nothing different from my regular P3D. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

Rain (as precipitation) is active - rain effects ( wheel spray, etc) are not if I understand correctly. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
