March 29, 201511 yr 3 x YES :( Roland, could you write who reported you working radar in VC? Maybe I could compare panel.cfg file with someone who has your radar - maybe I do something wrong... Lukasz Trzaskowski
March 29, 201511 yr Author Lucas, You can find several VC cases described in this thread, between page 1 and 7. March 29, 201511 yr Roland, Thanks for your work on this gauge. I'm attempting to install the gauge as a pop-up (Bendix shell) From your .pdf B- Pop-up mode declaration of ShellRadGauge in « panel.cfg » (Bendix shell) At the end of [Window Titles] section, add:WindowXX=RolASN weather Radarwhere XX is to be replaced by the last windows number in the list order. size_mm=500,500 zorder=4gauge00=RolasnRadar!ShellRadGauge, 0,0,,, sweep|icing|nogps Can your clarify where the last three lines are to be inserted in a panel.cfg Thanks for your help Brett Skyscraper
March 29, 201511 yr Author Brett, 1. Add the new Window entry at the end of [Window Titles] section, 2. after the last existing [Window] section, add your own section with the 4 lines: [WindowXX] size_mm=500,500 zorder=4 gauge00=RolasnRadar!ShellRadGauge, 0,0,,, sweep|icing|nogps (Change Xx with the new incremental window number of your panel.cfg) I think I need to rework the doc Roland Roland MSFS my local airport release: LFOR Chartres-Metropole MSFS Plugins RAAS (registered FSUIPC7 required) MSFS FX for Objects & Landmark in France (Steam and smoke) and Aerial coverage for French nuclear sites
March 29, 201511 yr I think I need to rework the doc Thanks Roland, I would have sworn I tried that... In any case it's working. Only issue is the gauge pops-up huge - almost full screen. I think I can fix that tho. Thanks again for the help Skyscraper
March 30, 201511 yr Author Brett, You can resize the gauge once it's opened, and it's better to resize before you switch the radar ON, because resize for FSX means destroy end recreate the gauge... But don't resize the gauge inside the panel.cfg (keep 500,500) Roland Roland MSFS my local airport release: LFOR Chartres-Metropole MSFS Plugins RAAS (registered FSUIPC7 required) MSFS FX for Objects & Landmark in France (Steam and smoke) and Aerial coverage for French nuclear sites
March 30, 201511 yr Roland, Is there any way to make this guage work with Opus FSI? I am sure that there are a lot of users would appreciate being able to use your work. I tried the guage, but get a message that there is no radar link. Thanks, Wilson
March 31, 201511 yr But don't resize the gauge inside the panel.cfg (keep 500,500) Roland, I understand, but against your warning (I tried this yesterday before you responded) and as best I can tell it works fine and the gauge pops up at a reasonable size for my purposes, [Window07]size_mm=100,150zorder=4gauge00=RolasnRadar!ShellRadGauge, 0,0,100,150, sweep|icing|nogps. Btw, for the gentleman a few post up the gauge works fine in the PMDG J41 VC here - once I read up on where the clickspot to turn it on was (after half an hour of scratching my head). I did have to comment out the RXP radar line as I have that gauge installed and it conflicts. If you do another update you might want to note that in your docs. March 31, 201511 yr Author Roland, Is there any way to make this guage work with Opus FSI? I am sure that there are a lot of users would appreciate being able to use your work. No, impossible sorry. The gauge uses the ASN API. You have to buy and use ASN. And I have to say it's a must have addon! Roland, I understand, but against your warning (I tried this yesterday before you responded) and as best I can tell it works fine and the gauge pops up at a reasonable size for my purposes, Ha funny, I was quite sure it would not work At least I don't think it can be larger, but I can be wrong again . Thanks to confirm that. April 1, 201511 yr I did this trick, but no results :( You only need to do that trick if you also have the "Reality" WX500 gauge installed. Otherwise they conflict. I don't think that is your glitch.. I'm using v09 - As you hover your mouse over the radar display can you see the various click spot locations. None of the knobs or switches on the bezel work, the controls are embedded as clickspots on the screen. The "on-off" switch for this gauge in the JS41 VC in in the left middle of the screen. Took me longer than I want to admit to figure that out If you are not seeing the clickspots your problem lies elsewhere. Have you tried installing the gauge simply as a pop-up in a default plane? Skyscraper
April 1, 201511 yr You only need to do that trick if you also have the "Reality" WX500 gauge installed. ok...however when I put this line as a "gauge06...." (is in manual) it doesn't work too... As you hover your mouse over the radar display can you see the various click spot locations. No. Have you tried installing the gauge simply as a pop-up in a default plane? Yes, but no results. The last thing what I can do is manuall installing SimConnect, because - I don't know why - I don't have SimConnect on Windows Installed Program list (however - ASN, which uses SimConnect, works well). I'm only affraid that when I manually install SimConnect something will may destroy in my system Lukasz Trzaskowski
April 1, 201511 yr Author If you own Majestic Dash-8 Q400, run the installer again, it embeds the SimConnect installer, no risk.
