Another radar gauge for VC & Window usage

Recommended Posts

Very strange,

You may retry to download the archive from Avsim and copy again the DLL under gauge folder.

Then if the issue is still there, I'll verify tonight.

Can someone else confirm the issue?

I just tried this for the first time, it works great, thanks Roland! :smile:

To try and help out a bit, I tested John's ShellRadGauge case, in a different aircraft (SAAB MFI-17) and with a different popup window number, but that shouldn't really matter:

[Window01]
size_mm=500,500
zorder=4
gauge00=RolasnRadar!ShellRadGauge, 0,0,,, sweep|icing|nogps

No problems here using that configuration, I get a popup Bendix shell with working weather radar gauge.

Thanks for your help JP!

Here I am reassured.

You should add the "beam" option to enhance cockpit life :smile:

Roland

I'm all for cockpit life enhancement, so I will definitely try "beam", thanks again. :smile:

I am pleased to report all is good and it is now working For some reason I had to reinstall the runtime libraries. Love the new beam.

Many thanks for your help and a wonderful gauge.

I've tried to install the 2d version numerous times for the Carenado C90B King Air.

1.) I have installed the X86 Microsoft Runtime Library - three times;

2.) Used the three commas as recommended (as above;)

No matter what - It is the black square with no Bendix shell (as above).

Hmmm. This seems quite simple, but I'm getting nothing in the Razbam Metro VC.  I copied and pasted the entry from the manual in both panel.cfg files and my screen is just black. I have the correct libraries installed and the dll is installed in my P3Dv2/gauges folder. I must be doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is.

Update: Figured it out!  The "on" switch is actually on the left side of the screen. The normal power knob is non-functional.

Hello Roland

I have installed the version 1.0 in the VC of the A400M from R.Laborie instead of the 3rd screen of the radio information screen.

It looks ok, but I can't find any tuning area with the mouse as I used to find with other airplanes...

Anything wrong?

Cheers

Pascal,

If you don't see the click̂spots areas over the glass it's probably due to the panel model.

I don't own this aircraft so I can't check.

On some Carenado, turning Off the "reflection" option reveals the click spots.

If the 400M proposes the option you should try.

Thanks Roland for your reply.

Unfortunatly there is not such turning off reflection or what so ever otion.

In order to solve such issue, would it be possible to have hot keys like for exemple :

  • CTRL SHIFT num pad 7: Range +
  • CTRL SHIFT num pad 1: Range -
  • CTRL SHIFT num pad 9: Tilt +
  • CTRL SHIFT num pad 3: Tilt -

Well, I don't know if a gauge DLL can catch keyboard events out of the FSX mechanism.

I need to explore the SDK.

Otherwise, you can use the standard Gps buttons to drive the radar parameters (does the A400M embed a GPS?), or use the Bendix Shell pop-up.
