The declaration for the new A2A Comanche is exactly the same than for the Cheerokee:

//gauge11=gps!gps_500, 0, 0, 1065, 675
gauge11=RolasnRadar!ORadGauge, 0,2,780, 441, sweep|beam|icing

The Comanche is so great!

First, great radar, roland!  Has anyone got this to work in the Level D?

Hi

I have installed your gauge in P3d virtual cockpit and as a pop up in a selection for aircraft.

Example - followed the instructions above for the Commanche.  Also the flysimware MU2.

Problem is I get no weather radar.  Pop up is only ever a black rectangle.

I know ASN is working because I have since installed their 'xguage' and that runs fine.

Would appreciate some pointers please.

Cheers

Dean

I guess you forgot to install the required "Microsoft redistributable for VS2013 x86 version".

--> Check the Pdf document

Thanks for the reply Roland but no I didnt. I've done that and checked its there in installed programs.

I'm running Windows 8 64 bit. P3d 2.5.

Do you have any other suggestion please?

There are hidden clickspots on the popup gauge to turn on, ajust gain, tilt, distance.  Make sure you click on the hidden power cycle button a couple times as it starts in standby then test then wx.

I have it loaded up in the Flysimware C441 and it uses the hidden clickspots on the screen.

If you tried the "ShellRadGauge" implementation as a pop-up and you see only a black rectangle without the Bendix shell, then I think you have an installation problem, either:

- the gauge DLL is missing inside "gauges" folder

- wrong declaration in your panel.cfg

- miss VC2013 x86 redistributable (you won't see any system message)

Hi Roland, I also have the black box instead of the radar, but let me go a little deeper:  I had the gauge working in the VC of the FSW Mu2 by manually editing the panel.cfg, but now they have made available downloadable panel.cfg files for this plane.  So i grabbed it and installed per instructions.  Also followed your instructions to the letter.  However now I am using Win10 TP build 10162, and cant get the radar going.  Are you aware of any possible Win10 problems so far or should I go back to a manual panel.cfg edit?  Thanks!

Rhys,

 I'm not friendly with W10 (still on 7) and not aware of specific problem, but there is a dedicated forum here so you can parse information.

but now they have made available downloadable panel.cfg files for this plane

 Can you give me a link for this?

In the meantime I suggest that you open and check the new panel.cfg.

I think what flysimware provided may be wrong as it declares captain sim not Roland!

I have no clickspots.

Anyway, I checked dll file and x86. Both correct.- so you would think it should be the declaration.

Could someone copy me a working full cfg for Mu2 or A2a Comanche please?

Ok - so that worked nice thanks.  I get the basic GNS430 and when I click the screen I get a pop up GNS430 that seems to be useable as a gps but the one in the virtual panel works as your nice weather radar.

So the connection is working.  Off too see what else I can use it in!

Thanks Roland.

Thanks

I tried in A400M (using starton) and when wx radar on I got the test pattern bands on the top three ranges of the arc and weather pattern just within the bottom arc range - any ideas please?

Sorry I need to learn how to upload images here!
