January 7, 201511 yr I have the CH Products Yoke and have had it for close to 10 years. Still going strong! To prevent sticking I have sprayed on some silicone (never use oil based products on plastic) and it has generally fixed the issue. Rudder pedals are good but you don't really use them for flying (especially jets). I use them for the toe brakes which are great and taxi plus keeping the aircraft centered on the runway during takeoff and landing roll. Other than that they are mostly for resting your feet, except for the occasional crosswind landing. I remember when I first got them I really thought I would use them so much more in flight. January 8, 201511 yr Bert, what program do you use to edit the config file? I get a warning when I try to use MS Word? I believe that word adds hidden formatting that messes with the intended editing. Notepad is the best editor. Eugene
January 8, 201511 yr Bert I now have 'notepad' enabled to edit config file. My file is slightly different than yours!? (I am not very experience re. what all this means). It shows elevator_effectiveness=2.0aileron_effectiveness=1.0rudder_effectiveness=1.0 I note above you had a //1.00 and a //1.0 following your numbers? What is the significance of the //'number' AND SHOULD I ADD this notation when I make my changes? Lastly, do you know of any pdf that explains what a lot of this coding means?
January 8, 201511 yr // is a comment indication. Everything behind it, is ignored. So, =0.8 is the same as =0.8 // 1.0 For me, it is a reminder that the initial value was 1.0 Bert
