FSX Steam Edition Update

Recommended Posts

I just discovered that the VistaMareCore.dll does not load after the new Steam FSX update. It did work in pre-update FSX-SE.

This DLL is used to provide animated ground traffic at some Aerosoft airports. There is no error message when FSX-SE loads, but I did find an error log in the FSX\Vistamare folder which says "Wrong FSX version".

I'll post a note on the Aerosoft forum, though they are probably already aware of the problem.

I can confirm this issue, ground traffic doesn't work after the Steam Update so be careful!

Just checked the Aerosoft forum. They are aware of the problem with the vistamare DLL, but as they do not actually produce the DLL in-house, they are waiting on their 3rd-party supplier to make whatever corrections are needed. I'm sure they will release a patch for those sceneries that use that DLL as soon as it's available

Jim, can you share the topic about vistamare in AS forum?

It was a series of posts about the AES product, which also depends on the VistaMare DLL

Please do not tack your question into an existing thread as it is not only off-topic, but quite likely to be overlooked and hence, remain unanswered.

Start your own topic and ask your question again.

Where do I go for FSX: Steam support?

I am able to run FSX across 3 monitors through my TripleHead2Go controller.
I purchased and installed FSX: Steam.
I made the change of setting WideViewAspect=True
FSX Steam now seems to start on the center monitor.
However, after selecting an aircraft, airport, time of day and airport position and clicking on Fly Now, the center and right monitor alternates between displaying "No Screen" and Dark.
The left monitor alternates between displaying the Desktop and Dark.
It keeps on doing this unless I shut it down, which I have to do using Task Manager.

Any suggestions?

My specs
Pentium CPU G870 @ 3.10GHz, 3100 MHz, 2 Core, 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series 1GB, Windows 7 Pro

Regards,
Russell Cox
