Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!As far as landing 30 feet from the centerline, sims have always had troubles with reciprocal runways that share the same freq. Is that the case at the airport you are operating at? A workable solution to that particular problem might be to change one end to a different frequency. You are no longer able to use a real world chart to look up a frequency, but in the real world the localiser aligns with the centerline. Both FS9 and FLY 2 have this problem at KAVP, even while handflying it's difficult to do low cieling/low vis there before you modify the database. Though admittedly I often do approaches at weather that is below minimums, my life isn't at stake.Best Regards, Donny:-wave

okay everyone, by the way, i wanst landing with AP engaged, i leave approach hold on up to about 400 foot, then i just flare, and its got me into a bad position, i.e off the centre line.anyway you'd think project opensky would be able to make aircraft that approach hold works on.

Quote "face it, posky and ifdg are all ####, none of them can make a plane that will actually keep up a nose up pitch and stay on the glidepath, the only planes that do are the microsoft ones, i mean dont these idiots TEST their crappy planes." :-fumeWhen you can design better then I am sure the whole FS community will be overjoyed !!!If not, then dont run down others till YOU can do better.I have numerous addon planes, mostly payware and they land on the numbers using autoland EVERY time. I look forward to your contribution with much trepidation.

:-lol :-lol :-lol I think you made the right decision, the way you approach it is not good for your hart.Maybe this is a better hobby, The Waldo Stitch N' #### Knitting Society :-lolhttp://knitting.meetup.com/718/

i think your language is the your one way ticket out of avsim.. if the game is such crap, how do so many people use it with such precision? I think it could just be your short patience and the feeling you have that you can do anything, and what you cant do, is not worth a crap. In regards to not landing to adding to notches of flaps, how about you read the flap limitations. You know, if you in a 172 doing 100knts and slam 20 degrees of flaps on, your just gonna shoot up.I reccomend you grow up a little, and when your mature enough, take some time to learn a little.. But then again, your short patience and attitude makes you think you can do anything, and what you cant do, cant be done.Anyways, Id reccomend you take a break.. And leave avsim alone... We do fine with out your comments like the one im responding to..So leave avsim, and the flight sim hobby along... Ok superman?

Its his attitude to begin with and the thought that he can do anything and if it cant be done, its screwed up.First off, id really reccomend you watch your language here. 2nd, learn about your aircraft. Learn the limitations and the normal procedures. Download a manual. As a real pilot, this is as close as you will come with out purchasing a full motion sim. or getting in a real plane.

"another thing that ####### me off is how the APP hold always lands me a good 30 foot or so off the centre line"APP Hold is not an autoland function. You either need an external gauge, or a program such as mine to manage the last part of the landing. Also, many ILS's are offset. You may not land on the centerline if you're just letting approach hold guide you in--the point is to bring you to decision height, so you can manually line up with the runway and land.I do think you should let MSFS go. If you don't invest the time to learn about what you're upset about, you'll just get a lot of people worked up and make yourself look poorly in the process. It sounds like you have a lot more to learn.-John

Oh you are just so wrong. SO WRONG!1) you probably have no idea about flying2) you are probably extremely lazy and impatient3) and, have a pc from a stone age or just didn't read how to properly configure your system for joyful FS9 flyingso, with that out of the way, couple of more words:- scenery - even with default scenery, FS9 looks relatively ok, although a little boring from time to time - GET SOME ADDONS!- aircraft - who still uses default ac??? i only fly pss/pmdg/lds with posky/ifdg models, they look great, they fly even better, and it's a pure joy to land with those at say dusk and nicely lit up runway - just check screenshot forum a bit- flying/landing - been using payware for a long time, although in the beginning, around 4 years ago, only freeware and i can say there are some great things out there, and i have never had problems you describe. if you knew how to land properly, you would have never written such a report and would be enjoying this wonderful hobby like the rest of us.now, if you are not interested into being helped to, i strongly suggest you delete your account on the avsim, delete all the links connected to flight simulation, delete your FS9 folders and installation files......and let us continue enjoying our beloved hobby.BYE!

Has he gone yet?Hope so.Allcott

>APP hold lands me 30 foot or so off the centre lineFly it by hand>also many planes have a mind of their own, for no reason just>drifting to the right all the time, no i havent put rudder>trim on. You're alone in that respect. I have over 1000 hours in MSFS and I've never had a problem with such a thing.>face it, posky and ifdg are all ####, none of them can make a>plane that will actually keep up a nose up pitch and stay on>the glidepath, the only planes that do are the microsoft ones,>i mean dont these idiots TEST their crappy planes.Face it, you don't really know what you're talking about, do you? You haven't got the patience to sort the problems out, and then you attack innocent people for your mistakes http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/DarrenA300/wacko.gifPOSKY, iFDG, et al have never given me a bad FDE!>flaps are basically bloody spoilers in how unable to descend>it makes the plane.Flaps tend to produce a bit of LIFT and DRAG ;) >im a very able and experienced pilot and not a thick ** out>of placeYou could have fooled me!!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/DarrenA300/crylaughinblag.gif>im just extremely wound up with the incompetency of>people making planes that just cant be landed. posky's 757's>can JUST #### OFF, and im just in a rage now, You don't SOUND like real pilot http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/Dar...0/rolleyes2.gif>i am a calm>experienced serious pilotTherefore you should be ABLE to fly them by HAND http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/DarrenA300/ShakeHead.gifEnjoy playing quake! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/DarrenA300/eh-up.gif

lolIf someone gets upset like that about a 'game' on the PC - god knows how they would cope with some real life situations :s
