No need to install update SP1d if you are only using FSX.  There were no changes to the PMDG 77X other than necessary to install into FSX:SE.

 

 

Nope, just because you don't have SE doesn't mean you shouldn't update.

You don't need to update, but doing the update will cause no harm. So the fact you've updated isn't an issue.
