February 5, 201511 yr Hello everyone, today I fired up my simulator and was prompted by ASN that it couldnt connect to FSX anymore because of access rights. Upon checking, I also noticed that all addon entries were gone from the menu bar (FSUIPC, fspassengers, PMDG, AccuFeel, all of them) The dll.xml is there and wasnt changed recently (I alsready tried a backup from 3 days ago, no results). I also dont have any antivirus active that could block certain files. Using Win7 64bit and FSX Acceleration. Has anyone else experienced such an issue and can help? Thanks for any advice....
February 5, 201511 yr Commercial Member Hi, most possibly a corrupt dll.xml Take a look here: http://www.hifitechinc.com/forums/showthread.php?4087-Common-support-issues This shows an example of Simconnect.xml, but the same rules apply to dll.xml. So, there must be some kind of typo or error in your dll.xml and fsx cannot parse it. Please attach it to let us take a look if feeling uncomfortable doing this on your own. Kostas Terzides

February 6, 201511 yr Addon Manager is not a stable program. Lots of problems with this program for me. Still cannot go to KDEN because of Addon Manager. Get a fatal error every time. Stan
February 6, 201511 yr Moderator Addon Manager is not a stable program. Lots of problems with this program for me. Stan, if you're having issues with it that you can't solve through either the FSDT or Flightbeam forum, have Umberto do a TeamSpeak session with you. I'd bet my house that he'll be able to get you squared away as he has with pretty much everyone that has issues. Personally I don't think there is any stability issues with Couatl or Addon Manager since I've been running every version since 2008 on two different computers. Problems usually stem from other issues I seen posted in the past. I think that if it was that bad of a program/module it would be more wide spread in terms of complaints and FSDT would either be out of business already or gone to the old fashioned way of scenery design that all but they or Flightbeam use. February 7, 201511 yr Tip: Easy way to check XML syntax of FSX xml files. View them in IE or FIREFOX browser. ie (XP) file : / / / C : / Documents%20and%20Settings/USERNAME/Application%20Data/Microsoft/FSX/DLL.XML (remove all Spaces from above : would not display in Forum unless spaces were added :( ) where USERNAME is your appropriate user name. The XML file will display (in syntax sensitive color). If there is a XML Syntax error (The most likely cause of the XML not loading in FSX), you will get an ERROR Message, pointing you to here that syntax error is.
