I'm not sure if PMDG will even allow it, but I highly suggest contacting them directly as opposed to a public forum.  Besides, I also think you should read, and then abide by the rules of said forum in the first place.  Good luck.

I don't see why not as long as the SDK was used and no reverse engineering. The issues may be the FMC which I don't believe can be interfaced with at all. An example would be FS2Crew interfacing with the T7 using the SDK.

2D panels are required when you have your own home made cockpit and you want all the panels on different screens.

Opinion.

 

It's always best to make it clear by saying "in my opinion" or something along those lines. I personally find 2D panels awkward, but I also fly planes myself, so I'm used to the concept of actually "panning around" and having to flip switches at odd angles.

movement”" created by Microsoft. (from: PMDG B777 intro doc, p. 136)
