Prepar3D: Try Optimize_Parts=1

Featured Replies

This tweak has been discussed on the Prepar3D forum so I thought I would give it a try.

In the Prepar3d.cfg file, under [sIM], try OPTIMIZE_PARTS=1

I don't know all the ramifications of this tweak but it increase the FPS by 40-50% on my system.  With a EVGA GTX970, I was getting to 70-80 FPS in spot view using the PMDG 777 (frame rate set at unlimited).

I tried to change value with 0 to 1, but I have no changes in productivity gain.

Thanks.  I was not aware that there was a Prepar3d forum on Avsim.  The only one I had seen was on the Prepar3d site.
