March 24, 201511 yr Hi, Since UTX is available so far for USA and Europe only, I'm just wondering whether it would be possible to de-activate Vector for those regions and make it active for areas that aren't covered by UT, Canada and Middle East for example. March 24, 201511 yr Moderator Just have Vector at a lower priority than UTX. Then, UTX will show in areas it covers and Vector will show in areas UTX does not cover. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

March 24, 201511 yr Then use a tool like "simstarter" where you can have different scenery sets depending on the area where you want to fly. I use it to fly with PMDGs T7 in airports like Heathrow, Toronto or Dubai. In such cases I have disabled both UTX and FTX Vector and every ORBX entry. No OOM so far. In other airports and/or less demanding aircrafts I use either UTX or FTX Vector. If I fly only within ORBX regions I have disabled both Vector products again. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

September 8, 201510 yr Don't wanna do this as UTX + Vector together = perfect OOM combo. Either one or another. Did you test this? I thought if UTX is installed above Vector than only UTX stuff is showing in the sim (when flying in UTX region) and Vector stuff is excluded therefore VAS should not increase because of Vector. Is this assumption wrong? Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
September 8, 201510 yr Moderator No Tomasz, you are correct. Having both does not increase OOM chances. Vector alone will do that more than UTX. All in all, I found that I preferred UTX and just disabled Vector. Visually I don't really notice the difference with it gone but I'm not checking anything specifically. I juust get overall better performance with just UTX. But to repeat - having them both does not by itself increase the OOM chances - they are not loaded together. September 8, 201510 yr Author I have UTX USA and Vector with UTX USA is having higher priority over Vector. I have tested two scenarios 1. Default F22 at Langley initial load with UTX USA alone - 2.0GB free VAS. 2. The same set, but with UTX USA and Vector - 1.7/1.8 GB of free VAS Yes, visually Vector does not interfere with UTX, however it's still part of the sim if active at P3D and suck some portion of VAS out. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
