P3D HDR Brightness Mod - Bright Daytime and Dark Night

Featured Replies

The original post was for P3D V2.x not for V3.x ... V3.x has changed with HDR you can adjust via UI.

Try P3D V3 at Midnight with no moon, I can assure you it's not "too bright".  The only issue I see with current HDR is at Dusk and early night the clouds are too bright.

Cheers, Rob.

Thanks Rob.

It worked perfectly.  My problem was I had HDR disabled as I did not like it during the day but I enable it at night to darken everything up.

2 things, my settings seem to restore to normal just a second after the things load, if I change to virtual cockpit, I can see for a fraction of time that the settings are applied, then it is the normal P3D shaders, if I keep holding F9 (Hotkey to switch to VC) the settings remain applied as long as I hold the button down, so this leads me to believe that something's forcing it to defaults, can someone please help me?

Excuse me for posting in such an old thread.

Do I have to activate HDR to make this mod working, and which settings should I select for HDR in the P3D menu?

best regards, Mathias

Thus is great and all but if using PTA can't this be done in there? If so anyone done it?
