I have become extremely irritated.  I installed 6.51 on my Windows 7 64-bit system.  All previous versions of VoxATC have worked fine.  NOW I get "unable to initialize speech recognition engine".  It's in ALL version of VoxATC now when I attempt to downgrade to 6.49 or such.  The speech recog works just fine as Windows itself has no problem.  Anyone have any ideas?  VoxATC is unusable right now.  Thanx.

Are you using the VoxPop addon voices?

Yes.  And the 2 M$ ones.  Hmmm....maybe I should try and reinstall those voices.....

I would uninstall VoxATC as well and remove the VoxATX folder from the InternalWorkings folder, uninstall VoxPop voices and VoxPop server before clean installing all.

I'll give that a try.  I get this error code from the log file:

Any luck with this issue?  I downloaded the demo and am having the exact same issue in P3D 2.5, I have been trying everything to get it to work.

Very frustrating, voice works fine in windows but won't initialize in P3D.

Just have it up and running in P3D2 2.5.

 

BUT - mostly it will refuse to init and give a "FATAL ERROR!".

The above happens in 8-9 out of 10 starts and restarts of VoxATC.

WIN7-64 bits and Speech Recognition works flawless.

 

Once it has "Inited" OK it works for that FS session.

Very annoying.

 

Any suggestions ??

A similar issue here: FSX-MS/SP2 on W7 and Vox v6.51 or v6.46. Vox works in the default Trike. As soon as I switch to a more "complex" plane, Vox can't initialize anymore. (No initialization in the default Goose, for example. )

 

Using the Voxpopbase and the 5 Voxpop voices. No error message, but Vox initialization never completes.

Anytime I get the Fatal Error, I pause and unpause the sim. It clears the error 90% of the time.
