Hi out there,

what is the correct installation of the current NGX update. A deinstall with a fresh reinstall or is it ok to install the update over the exisitng version of the NGX?

Posed that question to Aerosoft, they confirmed:-

1 Uninstall 600/70

2 Install 600/700 d/load from PMDG

3 Uninstall CDROM 800/900

4 Install CDROM 800/90

5 Patch if 600/700 display no gauges.

 

However this is not updating 800/900 to the latest sp d version

 a little misleading to say the least.

Really the aerosoft link http://support.aerosoft.com/index.php?action=show&products=630 to the NGX Box update is not the recent NGX 800/900 update?

Weird - this 5 steps of de- and installing 0f the NGX 600/700 and the NGX 800/900.

according to the tutorial and introduction it IS with sp1d.

 

But after deinstalling you have to remove PMDG left over folders manually as well

Does anyone know if the DVD version leaves a file with the serial key? I don't have the DVD or the box any longer...

This link brings you the update to: PMDG 737-800/900NGX for FSX / FSX-SE (v1.10.6461)

for the aerosoft box version - you need the serial number to download. Works fine!

Ok got it. do i remove all folders of the old PMDG before the reinstall guys?

I did complete deinstall, removed all folders of the NGX - then I did a clean reinstall with admin rights. Of course I had to save my VA textures and some special sounds before I trashed all old folders.
