April 3, 201511 yr I usually do not use saved flights as a starting point. But, when I do, often after saving the flight, I will open the .FLT file in a text editor and remove the section about "date/time/season". With that section removed, when you load the saved flight, it will use the current date and time from the computer. Dave Dave Paige
April 3, 201511 yr Author Where do I check the date of the sim? If it is the date of the computer then I am in the correct date range. I am using a save flight and took Dave's suggestion and updated the flight to todays date and still I get the out of date range message in the FMC Frank Zych Frank Zych
April 3, 201511 yr Where do I check the date of the sim? Menu WORLD item TIME and SEASON after you load the flight. It will indicate the simulation time in the aircraft's time zone. Dan Downs KCRP
April 3, 201511 yr Author The time is set for the month of April which is the current cycle I downloaded. Can't understand why I would get that message. Oh well I'll just have to keep using the clear key Frank Zych Frank Zych
April 3, 201511 yr The time is set for the month of April which is the current cycle I downloaded. Can't understand why I would get that message. Oh well I'll just have to keep using the clear key Frank Zych Check the navdata files. First, you should not have a PMDG\FMCWP folder. Several cycles ago, the navigraph data manager had a little P3D bug and it has been fixed but it's an easy check. Second, the files in PMDG\NAVDATA include fmc_ident.txt and that is where the PMDG FMS gets it's navdata date. You never mentioned if the FMS IDENT page has the correct cycle and it is just an error in the message or the incorrect cycle data is displayed. Dan Downs KCRP
April 3, 201511 yr Author I do have a PMDG\FMCWP folder. I just deleted it. No more out of date message. Thank you very much!!!!! But!!! when I download the new cycle from Navigraph it still creates the FMCWP folder Frank Zych Frank Zych
April 4, 201511 yr Please post a note at the Navigraph forum, Stefan checks this often and the feedback will help him improve the product. Meanwhile, just move the files from FMCWP to NAVDATA and you should be good. I do have a PMDG\FMCWP folder. I just deleted it. Don't delete, you need the files in FMCWP but PMDG is going to look for them in NAVDATA. FMCWP is used by the FS9 NG. Be sure you have selected the FSX NGX and not the older FS9 product in the navdata manager. Dan Downs KCRP
