the shots in the screenshot forum look awesome. I purchased her right when she was released, can't wait to get home and go for a flight around the caribbean

the scuttelbutt at my "home" forum is very negotive about this release....read herehttp://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=40438hope this helps some of you.

The screenshots of the vc look unappealing. Also don't understand why they call the combination with sim flyer's stuff the "deluxe version," given that simflyer's gauges are, compared to the Reality XP "gold standard"- mediocre at best. I bought their MFD_WXR combo, and basically got a rebitmapped default gps with an additional so-called "weather-radar" bitmap thrown in for good measure. ricardo

>the scuttelbutt at my "home" forum is very negotive about>this release....>>read here>http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=40438>I don't get in on the Simflight Forums; however, when someone questions the flight model behavior due to it's size, the same question came up with the FS2002 Caravan. Many thought it should react slower to controls than the smaller 172/182. Then we got actual flight reports claiming the Caravan reacts much the same as the 182, because of it's spoilers assisting in turns. For the record, I don't have this simulated aircraft.L.Adamson

That panel is TOO low poly...I mean, its like very deep, 4 sided screws...I woulda at least gone 6 sided...also, Ive noticed that there are large white boxes on the sides, where the tail numbers are...did they FORGET to make it transparent????

Oh you are so full of ...What you call 4 sided screws are actually little spotligts and guess what; they are 4 sided on the plane :) As of the white square on the plane. It happens only on the DHL repaint and guess what? The real DHL plane has it's own white square around the registration number. I just love to see when people with no clue jumps on a new release and they want to beat each other by finding more and more bugs even if they don't know anything about the plane. Please, please do it for all of us and force the developers for spending more time on their development and push up the prices to the $100 mark as it's clear to see coming...I bought the plane and here is my oppinion;-FDEI'm not a pilot so I can't comment (as some can) about the flight dynamics, but the plane behaves much more stable than the default and it would not pop airborne as the PMDG 1900 does (first release I don't have the second so I can't comment that)-soundFinally no more "plastic" sound. It sounds dirty and used. Finally someone realised the sound is in fact changes by changing the pitch of the propeller-2d panelexcellent blend between the default (so you don't need to learn a new plane) panel and a realistic one-VCI have no idea who says this is the worst VC. I found it very nicely optimized and find very very small inpact on the framerates while prviding excellent quality.-ExteriorThe images are speaking for themselves. Shadows are nicely part of the images and give realism not like some other developer put black spots representing shadows on their plane. My 2 cents? If you are a realism freak (in the good way), get it only for the times when you want to relax, this is not your target plane. However if you are either tired from the long flights or you are up to some local flyings, by all means get it. Get the normal version to save some money if you are on tight budget and if your computer can run the default planes this one will have almost no inpact on framerates.Quantasluvr

"I have no idea who says this is the worst VC. You obviously need to check out some more payware offerings or get new glasses :-roll"My 2 cents? My 2 cents...Overall, it's not a bad add-on, but I do think it is priced on the high end for what you get. I bought the deluxe version ($26.49) because it was a chance to try out the Simflyers stuff for the first time fairly cheaply (a $6.50 premium over the $19.99 base price). The visual model is well done. No more octagonal wheels like in the default. I like the door animations, and "shift-E 2" opens up the underbelly cargo hold doors. The flight dynamics were written by Ron Freimuth, who ranks among the FDE Gods. The plane flies well, with a lot of attention paid to the finer points like turn performance, adverse yaw etc. It also includes custom engine gauges written to complement the turboprop parameterizations in Ron's FDE.Sounds are another strong point...far and away better than the default stuff. The panel is mostly stock MSFS gauges, except for the aforementioned engine gauges and the SimFlyers GNS. The VC is nothing to jump up and down over...was too dim for my tastes until Victor pointed out that there is a dome light in the aircraft.cfg light section that's commented out. The VC is in the low average range for a payware plane, but useable. I'm not one for a detailed VC review, as I don't fly from the VC much except maybe when sightseeing at cruise.Documentation is pretty sparse...basically just checklists. The SimFlyer GNS is largely the stock MSFS GNS500 under Garmin bitmaps, plus radio controls and some very limited Garmin-like menu pages. Their manual refers the user to the FS9 docs for the GPS functions. It has the same limitations as the default GPS, e.g. cannot add/delete/change waypoints in real time, and no ability to update the nav data. It does include a GNS430 in the stack, which is essentially a second GNS500 scaled smaller, with controls for COMM/NAV 2. It makes a half-decent moving map display and radio control panel...in all I think it's worth pretty close to the $6.50 I paid for it. However, as soon as someone comes up with a mod to substitute the Reality XP GNS530 gauges I'll be making that change. The FeelThere Caravan does not rise to the same level of detail and quality as their excellent ERJ 145 offering, and from reading some of the forum traffic, was not intended to. Unfortunately, their marketing is not highlighting the fact that this is something of a "lite" add-on in the sense of the PMDG Express offerings.IMHO, worth $20 (without the SimFlyers gauges) if you want a Caravan that flies and sounds right. I don't feel ripped off, but then I don't feel like I got a whole lot of bang for the buck, either. I'd call this about three stars out of five.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300

What I frustrated me (I don't have their Caravan) is that Aeroworx was going to do a Caravan but then didn't do it because of Feelthere. I was really hoping for a Carvan of Aerworx quality, but instead we got FeelThere's "light" add-on.

Well perhaps now Aerworx will reconsider. It's not like there aren't other examples of 2 different developers releasing the same aircraft. I have their B200 and it's one of my all time favorites to fly. I would be all over a 208 if they released it.disclaimer....I do not own Feelthere's 208. My comments are not to be taken as a negative opinion of their A/C. :-outta Dave---------------------------------------------------System Specs:Athlon64 3500+ ClawHammerECS NForce4 A-939 Mobo (1ghz FSB)2 Gigs OCZ Performance PC3200 Ram (Dual Channel)ATI Radeon X800Pro PCI-E 256MB (Catalyst 5.6 @ 550/540)SoundBlaster Live 24bitSaitek Cyborg EvoWinXP SP1

I purchased the FeelThere Caravan yesterday and took it on a 2 hour fight to really get to know it. I like this Caravan a lot better over the default version. It sounds better, looks better, and flys better. I like the SimFlyer radios. I have another radio stack made by them and it is pretty good. What I like about them is they are easy on frame rates, functional and still look great. What I also like about the Caravan is that there is room for me to add my own touches to them. For example, the weather radar by RealityXP will fit well under the autopilot. At this point the most annoying thing I can find about the FeelThere Caravan is the propeller animation / texture. I will have to fix this myself, although I read on the FeelThere forum that a patch is coming out soon to fix the propeller and other items. There was a report about the flaps not animating right in the VC mode. I did not notice this though. The virtual cockpit is a bit on the low poly side, more attention could have been given to the textures. However, the FT Caravan is still better than anything else out on the market or default.Overall on a scale of 1-5 I give this aircraft a 3.5. After the patch is released it might be a 4.5. I appreciate all the work that has went into it, and I am pleased to see FT's response on their forums. If you are looking for more than the default Caravan can offer, this is the one. Although I see no float version in the future.:D

okay, first off let me say I do not have this add on, and I wont get this add on either mostly because it isnt a plane I would want, heck, I've never flown the default one!I do want to make an observation tho about the comments here.It seems most of you are compairing this payware addon to default instead of other compairativly priced add ons. I mean, shouldnt any add on be at the same standard as the other addons being released at the same prices? Instead you are taking a $30 add on and compairing it to a freebee given to us by the game manufacturer, seems we went backwards instead of forwards. This plane is clearly not up to standrards by most for the prices they are charging. Maybe it should be more in the $10-15.00 range?

I really like it, it may be a bit overpriced for what is given to us, but I'm sure they will fix the bugs. Anyway after 2 flights last night I think it was worth the 20 dollars. especially being able to fly cargo versions!

>What I frustrated me (I don't have their Caravan) is that>Aeroworx was going to do a Caravan but then didn't do it>because of Feelthere. I was really hoping for a Carvan of>Aerworx quality, but instead we got FeelThere's "light">add-on. Wrong. Aeroworx "cancelled" their product because after over a year of showing a real picture of the Caravan they realised someone is in fact working on the plane. I'm about 99% sure Aeroworx had nothing done by the time feelthere showed their first screenshot otherwise if they tought their plane would be sooo nice would've procceeded. I think it's just so upseting that some guys says "bann the feelthere caravan" on some other forums because Aeroworx. I think they should thank feelthere for making this plane at all instead of showing photos for years. My 2 centsQuantasluvr
