May 21, 201511 yr This happened to me today too but I cannot solve it. It has happened out of the blue, I have not installed anything new. Yesterday everything was working fine. Today I am getting several errors that I have never seen before. 1. Default flight is corrupt (generated by clicked Prepar3D_Default.fxml in AppData/Local) 2. Default aircraft cannot be found error 3. Themida warnings on startup At the moment, P3D v2.5 will not start for me. Does anyone have any tips before I commit to a full reinstall (again). I have a feeling that the Estonia Migration Tool might be the cause of the problems as a message popped up from it saying something along the lines of 'unknown version of Prepar3d found...' even though the app is up to date. May 21, 201511 yr Hi guys, Had this same exact issue, think it was the Captain Sim 727 that caused it. Ran this hotfix on the Flightsim Estonia webpage and it fixed it. http://www.flightsim.ee/wpfb-file/cshotfix-exe Hope this helps someone! Troy
May 24, 201511 yr Author This happened to me today too but I cannot solve it. Hello Toby, Did you get it sorted? if so it would be interesting to know for the future how you done it
May 24, 201511 yr HI Elaine, I did but I don't know how because I didn't change anything, it just worked again. I had a couple of beautiful flights where everything worked perfectly but then yesterday, the sim just stopped starting all together. I have had to reinstall Windows now and Prepar3d but cannot activate due to exceeding my limit... I will see if this happens again next week on this fresh install, which would confirm to me that it's a v2.5 problem. The following tip was recommended to me on the Lockheed Martin forums: Here is what to do if P3D cannot find the Aircraft files. 1 open Prepar3d.cfg and change “SITUATION=My Default Flight” to “SITUATION=”2 open %LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 then delete 2 files Prepar3D_Default.fxmlPrepar3D_Default.wx Good luck. June 14, 201510 yr Last sunday, I experienced this issue. Nothing works to repair the simulator. Then I serched for the default flight in P3D, which is located in C:\User\Your Name\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2. As I remember (now I´m not in front of my simulator PC), the file is called "Default flight.FXML", I opened it with an editor and I compared this file with the name of the file, then I could notice that the name of the file was changed form "Default flight.FXML" to "Default_flight.FXML". When I erased the symbol "_", and restarted the simulator, magically it return to life and started normally with the default F22 aircraft as allways. For some strange rason, the simulator in the shutdown changed this file name and also other file in the same folder named "Default weather.FXML" to "Default_weather:FXML". This information may be usefull avoiding a full simulator reinstalation. Finally excuse any mistakes in my english, because it is not my native language. Regards.
