May 18, 201511 yr I guess this place is as good as any. I have my 777 with something hanging from the tail wing and although I don't use the external view much, I like to take pictures in flight and I'd rather not have whatever it is hanging from my tail wing all unrealistic like, it takes away from the immersion! Anyways folks, whatever you think this might be your help is greatly appreciated. PS that pretty little island there that the plane is about to cross is San Clemente Island off the coast of California. Because Learning is fun! Logan Beck I own a bunch of fancy planes and stuff
May 18, 201511 yr That's the test plane thing (drogue?). I don't have the 777, but I have the NGX, and it should be an option in the options. Why it isn't streaming in the wind behind the aircraft, I don't know.
May 19, 201511 yr Author Not able to find the option to turn it off, but at least now I know what it is, thank you. Logan Beck I own a bunch of fancy planes and stuff
May 19, 201511 yr Author Could it be the 777X in testing Haha, yea I guess so but I don't think my passengers will be very happy to know that Logan Beck I own a bunch of fancy planes and stuff
May 19, 201511 yr Go into PMDG SETUP - Aircraft - Equipment - Page 5 - Flight Test Package - Select NO. Mark CYYZ
May 19, 201511 yr Author Go into PMDG SETUP - Aircraft - Equipment - Page 5 - Flight Test Package - Select NO. It still didn't go away which means it's a product issue, I've gone ahead and started a ticket directly with PMDG. Thanks for the help guys! Logan Beck I own a bunch of fancy planes and stuff
May 19, 201511 yr Commercial Member It still didn't go away which means it's a product issue, I've gone ahead and started a ticket directly with PMDG. Thanks for the help guys! It's usually not a product issue as much as it's a user issue, but I'm up for being proven wrong. Model oddities like this are usually the result of the user loading the aircraft improperly. Also, please use your full real name in posts here in the forum. Thanks! Kyle Rodgers
May 19, 201511 yr Could it be the 777X in testing My contribution to the contest is that it's the rope you have to pull for the alternate landing gear extension! What happened to AVSIM
May 19, 201511 yr Maybe it's the new aircraft carrier package? So he can attach to the cord and stop in time Chris Smith

May 19, 201511 yr Commercial Member Sounds plausible, I think a big hint is that the rope is handing down during flight. Like the hint of the plane not showing landing gear, or working avionics when on the ground and powered? That's usually a SimConnect error, among other computer-related issues outside of the aircraft, too. As I said earlier, I'm up for being proven wrong (which is another way to say "it's plausible that it is caused by us"), but seeing awkward things doesn't mean it's a bug. If the plane is loaded incorrectly, it can cause odd things to happen, such as having the A/C cart, and GPU hanging out. That might seem like a good hint at a bug, too, but it's not. Kyle Rodgers

So that's how that works...I always wondered I don't remember if it was an A320 or 737, but on a flight long ago I switched to the external view after I got airborne and noticed traffic cones flying along with me Chris Sunseri
