May 31, 201511 yr Unfortunately I just can't stand the wrong windshield depiction/modeling in RA's Duke, silly me :(, but it's very wrong compared to EVERYTHING else in their aircraft.Dirk. How is it wrong? Have you emailed Rob at RealAir? Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
May 31, 201511 yr How is it wrong? Have you emailed Rob at RealAir? It's in the visual model, it would be too much work to change I guess, just doesn't look right to me, and perhaps only me on these boards. Here:
May 31, 201511 yr It's in the visual model, it would be too much work to change I guess, just doesn't look right to me, and perhaps only me on these boards. Here: I'll take a look. Nice vid. But, that camera looks like it has some fisheye effect from being zoomed out. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. May 31, 201511 yr So it's wrong (in your opinion) because you watched a video with a wide angle lens? ... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 31, 201511 yr So it's wrong (in your opinion) because you watched a video with a wide angle lens? ... Take your time watching the photos then, google is at your service  Nevertheless the aspect of the windshield is still modeled very wrong to my eye. Btw, same applies to PMDG737NGX, but at least I read that was a compromise for their HUD modeling. As I said, I seriously don't like it, visually, but again it's lowly me, so feel free to enjoy whatever you like, Ryan. Dirk. PS: The dashboard looks spot on in the video with a wide angle lens
June 1, 201511 yr Nevertheless the aspect of the windshield is still modeled very wrong to my eye. I've been studying this. There do seem to be some differences, though, I can't say they're big in my own mind. I'm trying to take out the fact that the camera is zoomed out and on the left side of his head. Appears that, perhaps, the beam on the left side is less thick and not as curved in the RA aircraft. Part of me wants to be thankful for that since my head movement isn't as fluid as the guy in the vid. It'd be nice if there were less light in the cabin but, I guess, if I got that someone would complain about it being too dark. Everybody's different.
