June 25, 201510 yr I recently upgraded to 353.06 on the GTX780 and P3D 2.5 and had poor performance. I was able to fix this by clearing the [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780.0.0] from the P3D.CFG and also clearing the Shades cache and allowing it to be rebuilt the next time the app was started. \Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX or \Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\LockheedMartin\P3D Now I am getting the same performance as 347.88. Dude, like...dude...I tried what you described...It doubled my FPS in P3D, no joke. I even maxed out EVERY SINGLE setting to see if I was dreaming...nope, it dropped 1 FPS when I did that. No joke, deleting the duplicate display lines and the Shader folder took me from 20FPS at LAX in the PMDG 737 to 40 fps. Fingers crossed! I actually have been staying away from add-on airports for that exact reason....lets see what happens! Cheers! ---Brian Bash---398 HR MEL PPL and climbing!
June 25, 201510 yr Commercial Member Glad to hear it Brian. As a general rule of thumb I always remove the display lines after a Driver update, monitor change, etc. I also blow away the Shader folder when ever I make a NI, Nvidia CP, FS Graphical change, or Driver upgrade. - Jordan Jafferjee - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D | Asus X670-E Pro Prime | Gigabyte RTX4080 Eagle | 64G G.Skill Trident Z.5 DDR5-6000 | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 | 2x2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVME | NZXT H7 | Win 11 24H2 | TM Warthog Flight Stick + Throttle | Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | Samsung 43" Odyssey Neo G7 | Dell U3415W
June 25, 201510 yr Author I dare to say new driver, same goddamn s**t. Installed new 353.30 and still 5fps in dx10, GPU behaves like it's taking a nap. It's driving me nuts. Tried this in FSX but to no avail :(
