I am not seeking a PMDG endorsement for an upgraded Washington Dulles airport file. I am merely looking for an upgrade that doesn't kill the FPS and/or unnecessarily increase the VAS usage woes in the PMDG experience.

 

I know there are several payware (Blueprint, Flightbeam, et. al.), but I also see some AFCADs that purport to add the "center" runways. 

 

Anyone comfortable with advising me? Or, perhaps sending me a PM with a suggestion?

 

Any and all suggestions welcome.

I use FlightBeam. It's what I used in Tutorial #1.5 and I don't have any issues if I don't max out my sliders.

 

I think I just used Ray Smith's BGL file ("AFCAD") prior to that.

Yes, I agree, Flightbeam is the biz. I also had the Blueprint version long long ago,but it looks as if the airport is dead with no-one at home.

Add me to the FlightBeam crowd. Easily some of the smoothest and VAS-friendly sceneries on my computer, with many aircraft, including PMDG. Definitely wish some other airports were as system-friendly.

 

However, I do also balance tweak my system and prefer smoothness and reasonable anti-aliasing over max autogen and HD textures full of AI traffic.

I've just installed the Flightbeam, but didn't see much of it as i just left it. I'll check it out in more detail later and see how it looks on the return flight  B) .
